Good Dealer Dealings - List Your Good Dealer Experience

Lou Fusz St Louis was an A+ experience for us. High volume dealer, didn’t put their dealer sticker on back of our telluride, and finance took our “we don’t do extended warranties” right away. Also didn’t do any 4-square math with us (granted we put down $20k so no need)
Did you order your car or purchase it from inventory on the lot?

Thanks all for replying. I’m in Northern VA, very near to IAD airport. Based on Lookingfortelly’s post I reached out to Abeloff Kia (Stroudsburg, PA). Working with a Julie. They are about 4 hours from me, and that’s about the max I’m willing to drive. Selling at MSRP, with the $500 rebate. I do have to put a $1k deposit down. Doing all this on Tuesday, unless someone has something else I should consider. I tried offering Ourisman KIA in Chantilly cash 53k for a BLACK SX NFE sitting on the lot with a sticker of $51015 and they turned me down flat. They are firm on $4550 markup.

Have you reached out to Parsons Kia in Winchester? They are selling at MSRP and do not require any deposit to order.

Did Buchanan Kia have nothing? Based on my experience if you want something asap for msrp, you might want to stick with abeloff. Otherwise, make some phone calls on Monday to the other dealers on my list above just to check in, see if any of their deals fall through. But others might have more options to the south.

Also, do the math on the rebate depending on how much you're financing. It might be better to take 1.9% instead of the 500 rebate at 2.25.

Yes, I would think Parsons Kia is much closer to you considering it’s a drive out 66 from you. I’ve been working with Sam Berry, and she has been responsive and very pleasant so far. One of her colleagues posted here a few weeks ago - you could look for his post.

We ordered the second half of February and are still waiting. At the time she quoted a 3-6 month wait for a SX. Much shorter than what I was being told by dealers near me. And none of the insanity of DMV dealers (like Ourisman).

That sounds like a good deal under current circumstances! Were you able to order a 2021 or were you forced to order a 2022?

Are you getting a 2021 or 2022? Yeah, Brown’s Manassas Kia has an outrageous 10k markup. Thanks again for the contact for Parsons, will be calling them today.

Unfortunately, if they know they can sell them, they don't have any incentive to budge. It'll be sold by next weekend or so. The dealer I went to said they have been getting calls from across the country. They try to sell to people more local because they don't have the inventory to keep up.

Not a Telluride, but @Lucas & Craig sold my son his first adult purchase this past weekend. They stayed late to accommodate our arrival time and had us in and out in an hour with two test drives!

It's a great dealership and well worth the trip if you don't mind the wait on the Telluride.

BTW - Lucas said their order list for Tellurides was still really long.

I ordered mine from Murray Kia in Conshohocken, PA. They are one of the oldest KIA dealerships in PA. I'm getting mine for MSRP plus whatever rebates available at the time of delivery. They get about 7-10 allotments a month. My salesman is Roger and he's pretty good about walking you through the process. He was adamant about their dealership not marking up the price which 99% of them around here are doing. I had talked to several dealerships before including Abeloff KIA, so I already had an understanding of the ordering process and felt confident that he fully understood. I did put a $500 deposit down. I don't think you could go wrong with either it's just I live closer to Murray Kia.

Adding another positive review for Ladd Hanford Kia in PA. Same experience as @DownToThis had with the dealer. I also live in Maryland and had trouble locking down what I wanted at any dealer in the DMV that was half reasonable. Had some good conversations with Parsons Kia in VA but no inventory in what we wanted.

Noticed this dealer was mentioned a a couple times and got lucky reaching out at just the right time for a Wolf Gray EX. Sold at MSRP with the Kia incentives for financing. The Wolf Gray EX didn't have any added options besides what we needed (EX, Premium, Nightfall) which was perfect to bring the MSRP down to where we wanted it. We worked with Cody who was great to work with and we handled most of the questions/paperwork the day before I arrived. We were in and out of the dealer in less than an hour and a half. Finance department was also good and didn't push adding anything. Might have helped that we had our 1 and 3 year old with us to get us out the door but maybe not! Doc fee was also a bit cheaper than any dealer in MD or VA.

As others have mentioned they are a smaller dealer so they don't have a large inventory of Tellurides, maybe only a few a month but AMAZING to work with if you can catch them with inventory.

Great to hear your experience was as positive as mine! I would definitely recommend them for anyone in our region but like you said they don't get much inventory. I'll keep an eye out for a twin wolf gray (although I did remove the ladd hanford sticker)

Need to do the same, at least the sticker is black! I did see a wolf gray pulling into Home Depot this morning with temporary plates so looks like there will be lots of us around soon

Called Parsons and they seem really great to work with. They are telling me KIA is done with the 2021 build out and I’d have to wait for a 2022. Is anyone else hearing this?
