• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Snow White Pearl vs Glacier White Pearl

We can probably stop responding to this thread because it’s basically irrelevant. Most of the posts here were made before GWP was even in production.

And the difference between SWP and GWP really doesn’t matter anyway, because there are virtually zero customers who were able to cross shop them.

These different whites were never produced concurrently.

How did this turn out? I’m also wanting to place an order with Fort Bend as they are selling at MSRP.
@garzilla84 I called last week and actually spoke to the manager in charge of their Telluride orders. He was super nice and actually took time to walk me through the whole process including how their KFOS system works etc. I asked him about my order and he said it’s definitively in their system. When I placed it, apparently there were 70 other orders in front of mine. He said that now there’s only about 10 orders in front of mine, so it should get allocated pretty soon.

He told me that the longest part is just waiting for it to be allocated. Once that happens is only 6-8wks before the vehicle gets delivered to their showroom.

I read through all 10 pages of this thread and what I gather is that the GWP is a whiter white but with less sparkle to it than SWP. I had put my order in on 1/4/21 and the dealer clearly didn't know that SWP was discontinued because that is what we put the order in for since I preferred the one with more luster. My VIN popped up on FAILCAT last week and its GWP which makes total sense after reading this thread. Thanks to all for the good content.

Anyone have more pictures of white tellys? Preferably with nightfall?
I’ve got a GWP w/ nightfall on order, still time to change color and I’m contemplating switching to Gravity Gray.
I live in the desert tho so the darker color might get too hot in the summer... but I’ve already seen some white Tellys around so I’m thinking it’s a really common color.

My dealer just told me that the GWP has a sort of silvery flake to it vs. the SWP being plain white.
My dealer told us the opposite 🤦🏻‍♀️ We ordered February 25th and just got a call telling us it would be here on April 21st. No going back now.

Well if you were debating between the Snow White and the Glacier White, well there’s no choice to be made... the Glacier is the only one available.
Snow White was discontinued.

Yeah, it's weird that they even have snow white as an option on their website anymore. But they did last I checked.

Hi. We were planning on ordering a Telluride in Snow White Pearl. But I’ve seen on this forum that Snow White is being replaced by Glacier White for 2021. Anyone know what the difference is?
The Glacier is a brighter white, but still has iridescence in direct sunlight.

I like it. Was my 2nd choice, behind ES 😉

I happened to find two Kia's parked side by side at the dealership on a bright sunny day. One was Snow Flake White and the other Glacial White. To my relief the Glacial White was absolutely beautiful. It had plenty of the sparkly reflective characteristics discussed in this thread and was a true white. The Snow white was definitely much more creamy of a color, when I ordered my Telly I had selected the Snow White and was initially worried about the Glacial White not having the metal reflective flakes when I found out that they weren't offering the Snow Flake White in it to give it that beautiful luster. Now that I do have my Telly I can confirm that the paint work is great and the clear coat over it is beautiful as well. I did pick up a bottle of the Griots Garage 3 in 1 Ceramic cleaner and sealer and it definitely makes the paint job pop even more.

The pictures never give it justice as it typically looks like a flat white, best to look at it in the sun and on a clean car.

This is before applying the Griots Garage 3 in 1. Sorry I don't have a picture with it after at the moment

Loved how mine came out!

I have the SWP and it is very silvery in the flakes so I feel like this doesn’t help me figure out what the GWP looks like lol

I've been trying to look all over the place for pictures comparing the two colors, these where the only two pics I could find. I don't think anyone posted them yet.

Snow White Pearl - LEFT
Glacial White Pearl - RIGHT

Several pages ago in this same thread.

It seriously doesn’t matter, because no one is cross shopping one of these whites versus another (except maybe on the used market). These whites were never made concurrently (SWP production ended right before GWP began in August 2020) and with the time an average Telluride spends on a dealer lot (i.e., none), pretty much no one had the opportunity to pick one or another. If you want white, you’re getting the one being produced at the time of purchase. That’s it.

Wow… I beg to differ. Now that you can place an order for what you want, some people may have a preference.

I Looked at a few of the different whites discussed before I bought my Moss green. I never have been a white car guy so I thought I would give it a consideration. Despite the names, they are basically white. Refrigerator white. Rental car white. ceiling paint white, etc. What can I say, just not a white car guy, never will be. ;)
