Order to delivery time

Rumor has it there are supply chain issues with the infotainment system on the SX model which probably explains why no VIN's have been created in the last two weeks. My assumption is that this model is being re-worked and all future VIN's will be 2022's.

Can you elaborate on where you heard this rumor?
 
High volume dealership confirmed this over the phone.
I'm really curious to see how this works for those who already have orders waiting to get accepted. What happens if Kia adds new packages and options? Will we have the option to change our order? I was told weeks ago I couldn't change my order even though it hasn't been accepted into KFOS.
 
When you have a SX on order since February and cannot get any status updates, follow ups, and call backs from your dealership, you will find the appropriate answers elsewhere!

I believe there are differences that Sephghast noted, along with the premium sound system that ties into it.

I texted my salesman asking for an update and mentioned that I heard rumors of this. He gave me my current ETA (6/6 - which hasn't changed since the last update nearly a month ago) and said "KIA has not mentioned anything to us regarding the 2022 Telluride yet." That didn't directly answer my inquiry, so I suspect he's carefully choosing his words and not confirming or denying anything.

I'm surprised @Flyer25108 was able to get direct information like that - seems like that's something that KIA would not want to be known if it is true.

One thing for sure is time will tell :)

Like I said, this is what I was told over the phone. I'm not 100% sure if this is fact but it may be legit since no SX's have been produced in about two weeks! My original ETA was 6/5 so I'm curious/anxious just like everyone else!

I do find it really odd they haven't been building any SX models

Dealer just sent me this. I guess I just got lucky.
 
Yeah it seems strange that the SX models have been stalled for so long... just trickling out for the past two weeks or so.
I wonder if they’re retooling for the 2022 models? Maybe for a digital dash on SX models?? 🤓
I am one of the few that is really hoping I get mine before the '22. I don't want the digital dash.
 
Kia isn’t an “across the board” manufacturer. I wouldn’t expect anything until it’s been released from Kia
 
Found an article that talks about the shortage of parts from a month ago. Kia said they were continuing at normal production. Wonder if it is catching up to them.
 
Update on our order....Currently in transit, ETA moved up from 5/14 to 5/12
