The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Good Dealer Dealings - List Your Good Dealer Experience

Called Parsons and they seem really great to work with. They are telling me KIA is done with the 2021 build out and I’d have to wait for a 2022. Is anyone else hearing this?
I’m glad you had a good impression of the dealer! When we ordered in February, they told us we were right at the time when we might get a 2021 and might get a 2022. She encouraged us to order by the end of February to lessen our chance of a delay due to the factory conversion to the new model year. However, it seems we likely will end up with a 2022 unless one comes into inventory that is close enough to what we want. Sam has offered us a few that are not what we are looking for.

There is another thread devoted to the model year switch that was started last night - look at that one for some more info.

For the folks that have bought at Garvey/Queensbury Kia. Have any of you had them take some of the accessories off. We want nothing to do with carpeted floor mats, the rubber cargo liner and would prefer aftermarket mud flaps. I'd like to take those and the $500 it represents off the bill and replace with my own choices.

Thanks in advance 👏

Just ask the dealer

Just ask the dealer
That is the plan in the morning, was just trying to see how easy it will be. Worst comes to worst, marketplace will take them I'm sure.

I just picked up my new Telly from Parsons today. Worked with Matt Herman and he was wonderful. Ended up with a new sportage for my husband too. Can’t say enough great things about the dealership. No markup and just nice people.

We live in DC. I just picked up our Telluride gravity gray SX, nightfall, towing pkg from Kia Temple Hill in Maryland. We ordered in January 15th and it seems there was a mistake and the factory sent the wrong Telluride in March. They didn’t ask for a mark up when we ordered the car. The general manager Hernan and Angela are fantastic.

Kia Manahawkin (NJ) is selling at $1600 over msrp. Found mine via failcat, took about 3 weeks to come in

I leased (business owner), and the money factor offered to me was high at first... But I knew what it should be, via Edmunds forum, they adjusted to what it should be without any fuss.

We recently bought our Telluride at MSRP from Kim Nam at Halleen Kia in Cleveland, Ohio and it was a great experience! We live in Alabama and most dealerships nearby charge high markups on their Tellurides. We had originally ordered one from a dealership in Georgia, but after 2 months we were told that there are some parts on backorder for the higher trim levels that are causing delays. My husband and I have been sharing a car and I was starting to get antsy, so we began looking at dealerships' inventories online and I used this forum to find the locations that weren't doing markups. Someone on here had mentioned Kim at Halleen, and I'm SO glad they did. I emailed her two weeks ago about the Telluride we were looking for (EX with tow package). She checked with her manager, who had the one that matched our needs at his other dealership (Sandusky Kia). He said he could send the car over to Halleen for us, all we had to do was put down a $500 refundable deposit. Within a few days it was at Halleen, so we booked our one-way flight and just picked it up this past weekend! Once we arrived at the dealership they already had the paperwork started for us and the vehicle cleaned. We had also requested that some accessories be added (wheel locks, all weather mats, and folding cargo mat), all of which were installed in the vehicle and ready to go before we arrived. Kim was so friendly and seemed like she is really enjoying her job at Halleen (selling cars was a mid-life career change for her, but she is clearly a natural people-person). We worked with Josh for our financing, who went over all our extended warranty options and made sure we were well-informed before we made our selections. We ended up with our Telluride at MSRP, the 10 year bumper-to-bumper warranty, a 3 year service plan, and Gap coverage. Kim walked us through some of the features of our Telluride before we drove off the lot and that was it! We are so happy with our vehicle and our experience. If you do contact them, make sure you mention that you read good things on this forum about them selling at MSRP. You can call or text Kim at 440-600-3666.IMG_0481.jpeg

I am in Austin Texas and all my local dealers wanted 10K over msrp. I ended up buying my Telly at Sterling Kia in College Station for msrp. I dealt with Javi and everything went smooth and communication was great. I called and just happened to catch an order someone had decided not to buy so I got an SXP moss/dune and only waited 3 weeks.

Thanks for the update! I was looking on their website and I just see one model available. Did you get an existing order that someone had cancelled?

My understanding was that it was ordered and they backed out the same day I called looking for that exact trim and color combo. I had to put a deposit down and then it came in about 2 weeks later. They sell them fast. I suggest you call and see what they have coming in. I think by the time they get to the webpage they are all reserved.

Dealers also told me this, if you see it on their site it's sold, you need to see what they have coming that isn't listed
yet. Failcat helps alot with that.

Just as an update, at Garvey Kia they would not take the mats off of our car build "it's already being built we cannot change it at this point" Probably a fair point but they could just take them out and not charge me...

Again, not a common thing so I am not going to accuse them of being a bad dealer, I will just sell what I didn't want after on facebook.

Wow- its so difficult to catch hold of Javi at Sterling Kia! Couple of emails and voice messages over the past couple of days-still no response :(.
