• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Here's a great review on the Telluride...…..

Im surprised the SXP beat the SX. I guess for someone who needs AWD it works but for me dont need it/want it so paying an extra 4000 for the prestige was deff out of the question. If i lived in a climate where awd was a necessity then SXP for sure. Worth 2k but not the 4k with the awd if you dont need it. Plus im getting 28mpgs on the highway with my fwd! Couldn't be happier.

There is the nappa leather, rear heated and vented seats, HUD..to me, those make up for that extra 4k along with the AWD which is more sure footed even in just rain.

Best bang for your buck? Well the SXP. It is the best bang for you buck against 80,000 dollar cars. Against a 40,000 dollar car, the EX. Against a 30,000 dollar vehicle, the lx is best.

The seats in the SX are real leather, comfortable, and pretty nice so no real need for the nappa leather. Hud ill give u that one it would be nice to have it but again not necessary, rear seats are for car seats for the next 3-5 years so no need. AWD only really helps with acceleration. It dose not give you more “grip” when your at speed, or braking, only better acceleration off the line. So yeah not worth 4k in my book.

No babies for me (although I’m sure my coworkers feel I need my diaper changed!). SXP suits my needs for something luxury without the luxury price!

Well, if you get down to it, the LX then because none of the ammenities are necessary. It's all opinion except the AWD will be more stable on the road even at speed because of it's torque vectoring technology. You limit what wheels can be driven to account for counter steering with FWD by two wheels. If you're just casually going down the road and don't have to make any panic moves, then yes, no more grip for the AWD compared to FWD. But at speed and no danger is not where the AWD is an advantage.

Only Telluride we've actually sat in and driven is the LX, and we both really liked it. However, for us, the Telluride is replacing a High End MB and we wanted to maintain the same level of luxury. Our final choices came down to a GLS 550 or the Telluride SXP. The SXP seemed to have just about everything the GLS had (with the exception of the 449hp, bi-turbo V8) and was less than half the price. We don't take delivery for another week, so I'm hoping that the SXP stands up to expectations.

I think you made the smart and financially correct choice. I was coming from a Land Rover and looked at all the so called luxury SUVs for a replacement. Nothing comes close in price and luxury/safety features as the SXP model. Sure it’s not as quick as some but 0-60 in 7.somethjng seconds and mid 20s highway MPG on regular fuel ain’t bad.
