I'll try to answer for you. Part 1 - it's probably close to 100% that the initial date will move. That can be as little as 1 day either way all the way up to weeks later. The failcat thread answers your second question. You should read it. But, the answer is that failcat is updated when the VIN is created and the VIN is created during the build process. Thus, when it shows up in failcat, it can not be in transit (although there are exceptions noted in the failcat thread) unless your are looking at data that is old.

It shows up in the website when they "Invoice to dealer" basically when they are about to ship out from plant. Time will differentiate by distance from factory to dealer.. can be days to weeks.

Hi - I ordered from Doug Smith Kia in Sept, have been told I’m number 4 on their list but see numerous cars on failcat everyday under this deal and none are my car. Are you able to see if my order is in? It’s a Wolf gray SX with prestige, cross bars, towing, most of the options.

I can not see anything from other dealers until Vin is assigned.

If you are number 4 on the list that means you are still waiting for your order to be accepted in KFOS. So at this point will be getting a 2022

On average 2-3 months.. no news on 22 production start up dates yet
