What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

White sx available right now at northeast Kia in Long Island city. Dealer just texted me. In case anyone is interested.

You know what the really funny thing is? Everyone is exactly like you. Same market, same credit, same name even. Heck, they have the same job, same spouse, same friends, and even wear your underwear. Think about it, billions of people have been in your underwear you are wearing right now.

Is it possible to get at msrp? Yea. I have 7 dealers with in 50 miles of me. 2 where willing to sell at or below msrp. 2 of 7.

If there was one dealer in 100 miles, then I would say getting msrp would take hours and hours of negotiating. For you, you can just call round, get the best price and seal the deal. From some around here, getting that same deal will not happen until December. Just because you can does not mean everyone can.

Do you want to know why?

NO ONE BUT YOU IS ACTUALLY YOU. BECAUSE YOU CAN DO SOMETHING EASILY, DOES NOT MEAN EVERYONE CAN.
Thus why I was trying to help. You can ship open for prob $500 for 1000 miles. Bet you can negotiate for the dealer to pay it. That’s why I didn’t see buying outside my region as an issue since you know the exact condition of a new car.

Sorry. Maybe it’s called “North Star”. Whichever is in Long Island City. Getting confused at this point with all my previous calling around.

I’m ordering. Not looking for one in stock.

My wife may have changed to wanting a Q7 anyhow. So maybe it all worked out for the best

FYI. I looked last month at q7 before my wife decided on the Kia. You can get 10% off msrp. In April they were giving another 3k conquest for bmw/Benz/Tesla. And another 1500 lease cash. So a 60k was leasing for like the low 500s. I thought it was a really good deal. Third row is just too small for growing kids if that is important to you.

Isn’t it only 2” smaller than the Kia telluride in the 3rd row?

And thank you for the information

Not sure what the specs are..you need to sit in both. It’s literally night and day. Adults can’t sit comfortably in the back without seriously sacrificing second row space. In the telluride, almost anybody under 6’ can happily sit for a long time. You need to try both. I was set on the Audi because I like the value proposition but the third row for us was a deal breaker. The Kia and the vw atlas are similar in the third row but the Kia is a much nicer and better build than the vw.

I test drove one today (EX model), they had 4 at the dealership I went to. They didnt seem to know of any promotions, I didnt feel like playing that game and said like me know when you can take 5-6k of the sticker. Dont think Ill be getting a call anytime soo.
Yeah I’m in the same boat as you. They are asking way too much and not budging. I’ll revisit later when they want to sell

Funny thing is that so many people on this forum are complaining that they can’t find a car at msrp. And if they did, they would buy immediately. I make one phone call and find one and suddenly...crickets. Just funny to me. This forum seems like a place for most people to just vent...but aren’t actually serious. If the buyer isn’t serious, then the dealer isn’t serious. Don’t mean to insult or accuse here, just speculating on what I am seeing.
I know you’re here trying to help and I appreciate it. But what you have to understand is that dealers across the country are taking advantage of the “hype” and consumers. Sure there are people that can and are willing to pay over MSRP because the “have” to have it. But others are just looking for a fair deal and some of these dealers won’t budge off some HIGH prices. An LX in my are is posted online at over 36K before dealer fees. I think there are serious buyers that are just being turned away by greedy dealerships.

My local dealer will sell for msrp -incentives. I personally won’t touch for a penny less than 2000 off of msrp and incentives. I don’t need a telluride that bad. I understand if they have a car sitting there they have the bargaining power. I however want to order one and wait for 3 months to take possession. Why on earth would they not think this is a good deal for them. This is a car they would never purchase and sell if not for me ordering it. I think they are missing the bigger picture. How many people have walked away over this kind of stupidity. I will guarantee Kia wants to sell as many as they can. Not gouge and sell less. Makes no sense to me.
I hope they are losing lots of sales. They deserve to. Sadly I think a lot of people want one bad enough that they are willing to pay these outrageous prices. I walked away from several dealers and will not ever be back. I have one dealer that worked well with me but didn’t want to come down to where I needed to. They are the only one I’ll be dealing with later on when I buy after these shenanigans settle down

Hi all, I know this is not the popular opinion, but I’d be willing to pay over MSRP to get a SX-P. I actually tried to do just that. I found a dealership with a black Telly with dune brown interior asking $3k over MSRP. The problem is they are 3 hours away from me, and already had someone there trying to buy it. They said they would call me if they didn’t make a deal. They called me and it was sold.

It’s always nice to have throw away money, people do it all the time, we shouldn’t judge anyone who has extra to pay for something they want, I only buy organic fruits and veggies, dairy and meat, but some would say I’m just throwing my money away. Everyone has their budget I just hope for me prices go down because it’s a fixed monthly payment for 5-6 years.

Picked up my white/gray EX tonight. I’d been watching dealers within a 3 hour radius of us. Visited 3 of them but finally found this one two hours away. I talked, texted and emailed the salesman and told hiim a few days ago that I was moving on because of pricing. They called me this morning with $4000 off, plus $2500 in incentives. I waited til afternoon and ended up getting the all weather mats thrown in. All in all, I think I did ok. Love the car! Worth the drive!

Congrats! Do you mind letting us know what dealership you went with?

Got LX AWD for $34,000 out the door here in Massachusetts last week. Best deal.

I think you got great deal. How much they were asking?

This is an example of how dealers in my area are treating customers:
After I told the Internet Sales Consultant that I lived a good ways away and didn’t want to make the trip there unless I knew what I was getting, I asked about an LX they had listed online. She told me it was gone so I asked about them ordering one for me. This was the response I received:
“In order to order one you will have to come into a dealership. They will be stopping production in a few weeks”

I'm in the northern Virginia area and was told at the dealership that they will be stopping the plant in Georgia to retool to only make Telluride. Take that with a grain of salt as the salesman may not even know what they're talkin about but it does seem like Kia is inept at producing enough vehicles to meet demand.

I don't even want the top trim and I don't see me buying one for MSRP anytime soon.

White Canadian SX got 4k discount. 5years @1.99

If you do not mind how did the negotiations go for those 4k in rebate ? I'm shopping around for an SX in Quebec and dealers are hard to break bellow 1.5k below MRSP

I just went to look at a White SX in Dothan,AL. They are demanding 5k over MSRP no negotiating. Ridiculous. I politely told the sales person I want it but don’t need it and will just wait till the supply is higher!
