After reading threads here and watching some YouTube videos, I've still come out of this confused if a 2021 Telluride is easy to wire up to a 7-pin connector.
I just picked mine up and the tech that did the install had no clue if it would work, though he did wire up to a 15-amp.fuse from the battery. He had a 20-amp fuse in stock so I made him change to that.
I bought a Curt Echo wireless controller from them and the tech had no clue if it would work. Kept confusing my questions if I tap in the brakes, is the 7-pin connector properly wired so the wireless controller will tell my trailer that it should brake? He didn't know!
I waited for his manager and I asked them to test the voltage when I stepped on the brakes and that was inconclusive. He admitted he doesn't know how the Curt Echo works and couldn't affirm that when I press the brakes that the trailer will brake! WTF? Going to this Uhaul feels like a huge mistake.
I'm supposed to pick.up a camper this Friday from a dealer that's 8-hours away.
any suggestions on what I can do to test if the brakes.will work without having the trailer would help. U-haul said they had no trailers with electric brakes.
Not testing this and being sure it works is like writing a bunch of code without testing if it runs. Infuriating.
