• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I've been wanting wireless AA for a while. A few weeks ago I got an alert that carsifi.com had finally released a model to production. I ordered one and it took about two weeks. It's coming from somewhere in Eastern Europe so the package was in rough shape but it was well protected insdie the package. The set-up was really simple, I just downloaded an app, plugged it into the middle USB, and followed the instructions. I've only used it a couple of times so far but it seems to work pretty well. It takes a couple of minutes to connect but that may be because my phone stays connected to my home wifi for a long time. It costs about $95 all in (Taxes, shipping, etc)

So it looks like its still in preorder phase? I live like 15 minutes from where it says their office is and the phone number just rings and rings. Seems sketchy but I guess you got one? lol How long ago did you preorder?

I singed about 2 weeks before getting the email that they were ready to order. You're right, the whole thing seemed very sketch but I got it and it's working well.

The company sponsored Youtube vid makes it look like a seamless experience. Very curious about this ....

Not having to use a cable. Leave your phone in your pocket
I never drive with my phone in my pocket, it's always in the cubby hole. I like having the phone plugged in to keep the battery topped up. So what other benefit is there?

It just makes it connect wireless. Sounds like you're looking for it to do something it doesn't. Keep moving, this product would be a waste of your money.

You're right. it is a waste of money if that's all it does. Thanks for your opinion.
It would be a waste of "your" money. Different people have different needs though. I guess the wireless charger is pointless to you too? Some people have phones that easily last all day without needing to top up the charge.

Agreed. Definitely not a waste of money for those of us who don't like fumbling with cables all the time. Keep your phone in your pocket, or if you need a charge just drop it on the wireless charger. Stop wearing out your fragile phone connector and dealing with cables squirreling around the car.

I saw a teardown of the carsify module and it looked like a raspberry pi (or something similar that may be off-the-shelf) with a memory card. Won't be surprised if it'll soon be possible to make your own AA wireless solution (for people who like gadget projects). I'm waiting on an AA Wireless module, which was supposed to be a "June" delivery but it seems they're having supply chain issues.

I got my AA wireless module 2 weeks ago. I ordered it in January. It works great, I just have to get my trucks USB ports to link to switched power because right now it is constant power. This causes my phone to connect to it any time i go to the front of the house lol.

Is it difficult to have this switch between two different drivers/phones?

Just turn the wifi off on the phone you want to stop being connected to and it should switch it. At least thats how I do it on aa wireless. I dont have a carsify yet but I assume its the same principal.

Oh wow. I'd also be a little worried about going away for a week or two while the little AA Wireless box is drawing power from the battery the whole time.
