• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I'm wondering if this is still a feature or not since it is not listed anywhere on the 2022.

There have been no differences in software on the navigation head units sold from 2019 to 2021. They are all updatable to the latest version. So unless they explicitly say the head unit will change, you can expect the same features accessible on the 2022 navigation head units, including driver talk and quiet mode.

It looked like this was a premium feature on the EX and SX for 20/21. So you’re saying the 10.25” screen will have it inherently?

quiet mode is in LX after having an update in software, but the talk seems to be part of a package

Even if they don’t release the 2022 S and LX trims with the two features, it could easily be integrated in a future software update. It was marketed as a premium feature previously for the top two trims with the larger head unit. Now that they are all the same size for 2022 this logic would make less sense.

Quiet Mode is essentially a shortcut to fade all audio output to the front speakers. Driver Talk is just using the voice recognition microphone and amplifying over the rear speakers. No additional fancy hardware needed that the two lower trims do not already have.

makes sense, thanks!

So far I've only found driver talk mode to be useful for a laugh (my kids can't stand it, which makes it fun! .....I know, "dad of the year" right here). It's funny how often this little feature is highlighted in Telluride reviews.

When I have adults in the third row, it has come in handy for me. Unless you want to shout every time you say something for the 3rd row passengers to hear you.
