It looked like this was a premium feature on the EX and SX for 20/21. So you’re saying the 10.25” screen will have it inherently? There have been no differences in software on the navigation head units sold from 2019 to 2021. They are all updatable to the latest version. So unless they explicitly say the head unit will change, you can expect the same features accessible on the 2022 navigation head units, including driver talk and quiet mode.
didn’t know that, thanks!quiet mode is in LX after having an update in software, but the talk seems to be part of a package
Even if they don’t release the 2022 S and LX trims with the two features, it could easily be integrated in a future software update. It was marketed as a premium feature previously for the top two trims with the larger head unit. Now that they are all the same size for 2022 this logic would make less sense. It looked like this was a premium feature on the EX and SX for 20/21. Quiet Mode is essentially a shortcut to fade all audio output to the front speakers. Driver Talk is just using the voice recognition microphone and amplifying over the rear speakers. No additional fancy hardware needed that the two lower trims do not already have.
Haha that's exactly why i want it, no escape from the dad jokes. So far I've only found driver talk mode to be useful for a laugh (my kids can't stand it, which makes it fun! .....I know, "dad of the year" right here). It's funny how often this little feature is highlighted in Telluride reviews.
