• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Are there factory "preferred" dealers for getting your Telluride order accepted?

🤖 AI Summary

I ordered from Fort Bend Kia in May with a 6 month wait. I'm experiencing issues getting an answer to my "How many SXP AWDs are ahead of me" question.

Did you need to pay a deposit for your Tellurude order? Will you have charges other than MSRP, TT&L such as Dealer Fees?
“No other fees applied.” Jonathan H. at Cowboy Kia.

Hello all,
Ordered a Dark Moss SX at MSRP and when I inquired about failcat dealer code this is the response I got. Any ideas about how to respond appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Hal

I asked my store manager about the dealer code on failcat.com.

It's a third-party public forum, we don't associate with that website; this is the first that we'd heard of it.

If you’re trying to find out the dealer code, go to failcat and the dealer tab. Then use the search box and enter a part of the dealer name. Once you find it, you’ll see the dealer code, which you can either remember or just click on directly.

Thank you Tellephant !

This was the first thing you agreed to when you visited the site. And you went and did it anyway. 🤦‍♂️

I found this other page while trying to filter on failcat tool. TellyStats

Maybe if they have a lot of movement they offer better prices? Fingers crossed.
Yes, there are high volume dealers and low volume dealers. Even if a dealer places your order into the ordering system (Kdealer), if their monthly “acceptance” (KFOS allocation) is only 1-2 Tellurides per month it will take a lot longer than a larger volume dealer that has a 10-30 Telluride allotment per month. Their allotments are based on the volume of sales they are able to sell over time and also locality.

I don’t think the dealer necessarily has to “resubmit” an order multiple times though, it just stays in the Kdealer queue until KFOS picks it up. I would also ask the dealer what place you are in line for orders at the dealership.

One way to check how many Tellurides are being delivered to your dealer is by using the Failcat tool.

You could also search your city/state for good dealer experiences. Or stories from owners that previously purchased from high volume dealers.

Search results for keyword search term “Indianapolis”.

So I got a call two days ago (6/21) from my dealer that the factory accepted my order for my Telluride, with an expected delivery date in September. But I still don't see my SX Preferred Moss Green Nightfall with Dune interior listed on Failcat (dealer IN004). Other orders are shown dating to yesterday (6/22). Just curious why some orders are posted but others aren't??

It seems that having the order accepted is a solid milestone that marks the start of the build & deliver process. Your car does not appear in failcat until a little later when the VIN number is assigned and the car is on the production line. Don't worry. Your dealer MAY give you a copy of the factory order acceptance. If you can find the person who manages the orders for your dealer [typically not the sales guys] you might have a better chance. Bottom line is believe them when they tell you the factory has accepted your order and given you an ETA. Rejoice!!

Same for me I got a call on 6/21 from my dealer that the factory accepted my order, with a delivery date of 8/4 dealer IN001 (Indiana as well) The car isn’t showing on failcat I’m assuming its still in the early stages of the build or close to it. my order was a gravity gray Sx prestige with tow and dune interior 😍 good news is we should have our Telly’s soon, ordered on 4/21 and an ETA of 8/4 so about 3.5 months

Hang tight! Once the order is accepted, it can take days for the VIN to be created. At that point failcat can show it.

You're not supposed to mention this site especially to dealers 🤦🏻‍♀️

Think I already apologized for this.
