• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hello Everyone! Has anyone removed the dealership sticker from their Telluride or any care really? I was watching some youtube videos and it seemed simple enough but I didn't want to ruin the exterior after barely having it for a month!

Dealers should avoid to put their own emblems on the cars -------- other than the plate frames

I asked my dealer not to put it in first place .. unless they were willing to pay me an advertisement fee

My dealer didn’t put one on. Are you referring to a plastic badge or just a sticker? A sticker should just peal off and an emblem can be easily removed with some dental floss with no damage to the paint.

Search YouTube. They have methods using heat via a hairdryer and floss or plastic card, or non heat methods using adhesive remover. This is on my to do list this weekend. Did it on a previous car and found it was more important to remove and clean the leftover adhesive afterwards, than just the act of removing the sticker itself.

Just a sticker.

What did you remove the residue adhesive with? The youtube video I watched just suggested dish soap and water.

I rubbed it with goo gone and let it set a bit. Then took my fingernail under one corner and got an edge. Pulled it off in little pieces.

If it is a sticker, a hair dryer will soften the adhesive enough so one can peel off the sticker. Then use some Goo-Gone (or similar product) to remove any adhesive left behind on the vehicle.

If it is a raised letter badge of some sort, use dental floss to get between the badge adhesive and the vehicle. Use of a hair dryer can help loosen the adhesive. One the badge is removed, use some Goo-Gone (or similar) to remove any adhesive remaining on the vehicle.

In either approach, take your time, be patient, and you'll get that irritation off your vehicle.
