• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... My Telly was delivered today!!! I purchased it with towing package, however, it appears that the ball mount was not in the box. Is it typically included or is this an extra accessory purchase? TIA!

Mine came with hitch mount without the ball.

There are many different configurations of ball size and rise/drop. For this reason no manufacturer will include the hitch ball. It really depends on your specific application.

Your statement may be generally true, but by no means accurate. My Nissan Frontier I bought earlier this year came with a ball in a box as part of the package. I haven't used it yet though. I'm guessing it will fit in my Telly's receiver. Maybe a Sunday project. BTW - As far as the Telly, no ball is provided.

Thanks! I wasn’t sure since my last car came with only the receiver. Was pleasantly surprised to see a hitch.

^^^ THIS! It's really important to have whatever you are towing to ride level at normal load. Ball brackets are available in a wide range of rise or drop heights to do just that.
Don't miss that step, or trailering may be more exciting than you would like.
