Hey there, would anyone with a 2022 please do me a favor and measure the size of the front and rear emblems? Just overall length and width. Going to order some vinyl and didn’t know if 2” wide will do the trick!
And as a bonus for anyone who has vinyl wrap their emblems, what color did you go with? I’m thinking black gloss would match the Telluride badging on the NF.

If no one gets you measurements before this evening I'll measure ours when I get home from work.

As promised, sorry I didnt get them last evening for ya. Of course, the front and back are different sizes as well. Hope this helps. B2008F57-6EA0-4B7C-9C62-484C59A7A2B7.webpAF019F36-70F6-430A-8408-5EEC6115EF72.webp2256A9E3-20AB-4904-9AD9-E9D5A4D8B3BD.webp02F9B8AC-C7DC-4EE6-A13E-410E4018140D.webp

Awesome! Thank you VERY much. Now I can order some vinyl to cover the brushed aluminum.

So I ordered from Korea the Forte front emblem. It measures 6-1/4 x 1-1/2”. I’m deciding how I want to black it out (paint or vinyl), but I’ll be removing the large rear emblem and replacing it with this smaller one. It comes with the adhesive pre applied on the back. Only cost me around $22 shipped.
Any suggestions on how to black it out and look factory?

For the rear I wouldn't hesitate to use plasti dip, since it won't see too many impacts. But spray paint may be even easier. I'm probably going to plasti dip the original emblems but this seems almost easier, black it out off the car and stick right on.

After a bunch of research, I’m just going to vinyl wrap it. I think it’ll be a little more durable than the plasti dip, and there’s a gloss sheen available. Spray painting seemed iffy durability wise, being that it’s aluminum.

Which Kia do you have what year?

Just food for thought…. I vinyl wrapped the front emblem on my 22’, took a step back and realized it totally just looks like someone ripped off the the emblem and left some black spot that appears to be missing an emblem lol… I ripped the vinyl right back off because in my opinion it didn’t look right (yes the vinyl job was done well, just didn’t like the look, to each their own of course).

I have a 22’ SX everlasting silver (non-nightfall) but blacked out the front bumper that was chrome (lips) and left the Kia emblem chrome and switched out the chrome “telluride” lettering for black 21’ lettering- it actually looks pretty sweet with the other chrome accents- however, I could see why you wouldn’t want the chrome if you have complete nightfall- just wish there was a better way. I wouldn’t have such an issue with the front chrome KIA emblem if it wasn’t so massive- if I could get a smaller one to fit that would be ideal!

on the back I de-badged the “Kia” ecompletely and replaced chrome
“telluride“ lettering with the nightfall 21’ lettering (the font dimensions are much better on the 21’) looks so much better IMO), will vinyl wrap my back bumper black next week.

good luck as you play around to find what you like best, it’s a big trial and error for sure lol

I have the 2021 Kia telluride without the black out version......are you saying you like the way the emblem is on them at version then the 2022 Telluride you own???

No, speaking about the “telluride” lettering on the back. The 22’ version was scaled down fairly significantly to accommodate the new massive “Kia” emblem on the back. So I took the new 22’ Kia emblem off and put the old (21’) “telluride” lettering (in place of the smaller 22’ “telluride” letters) on the back because I like the scaling of those letter better.
I don’t really prefer any of the “Kia” emblems to be honest, I would take the new 22’ emblem in the 21’ oval though lol- it’s really just the size of the 22’ emblem that is a glaring eyesore to me

Pics would've been good. I hear what you're saying about the front emblem possibly blending in too much into the grill if blacked out. My biggest problem is the rear emblem. My car being dark moss, I think anything that's that bright is going to stand out too much...it honestly doesn't look too bad on GWP, Wolf Gray, or even ES.

@Bland Thats really good info, and actually something I was wondering about.
I may just do a dark grey vinyl wrap on the front logo to mute out the brightness, but keep it legible and not looking like it got ripped off. How do you think that would look? In any case, I’m going to swap the huge KIA logo off the back with my smaller one. And I’m going to wrap it.

I know on the pics 😩 I’ll look and see if we took any before taking the vinyl back off. I can take some pics of the back with the “Kia” taken off- however; it’s a work still in progress with the back bottom bumper still silver (I’ll be blacking that out later this week after window tinting so I’ll add another pic after that is done as well). Give me a few hours and I’ll get some pics up!

I am thinking the dark grey would look more intentional for sure rather than the ripped off black look!
Im wondering (for those that have the nightfall) if carbon fiber on the front logo might look good? 🤔

Here are some before/after pics so far:
First couple are prior to any modifications; others are after modifications, I couldn’t find a “before” pic of the back, but you can probably google image what that looks like. unfortunately, I haven’t yet found the pic of the blacked out “Kia” front emblem prior to me undoing it :( also, sorry for the poor lighting, I’ll get better pics out later this week (definitely shows the color changes of the everlasting silver though!)
This week:
Ceramic window tint
Lower part of back bumper wrapped in black gloss

Thanks for the pics! I have a new 2022 WG SXP and have the 21 back lettering as well but have not put it on yet. The lettering looks great! Any tips for placement? I have been debating on removing or blacking out the back logo.

It was a bit tricky! I also moved mine up a bit since I took the “Kia” off, to try to compensate a little for spacing.
assuming you have the same lettering (it is in 2 pieces separated in between the “U” and “R”)?
For placement, the “U” is dead center. Measure the spacing between the “L” and the “U” on the bottom of the letters- the spacing between the “U” and the “R” should be spaced apart the same as the “L” and “U” in mm. Once you figure that out, you are golden because then you can just measure from the corner of each tail light to ensure you are even.
Once we figured out where to put it, we taped it on the bottom of the foam, let it flap down a bit to remove the backing and flipped it right back up- that part was fairly simple.
not sure if any of that made sense but I hope it helped lol it wasn’t perfect but I like it better- just my opinion ;)
I think the KIA would look better blacked out, it’s more of a size issue for me.
