Order to delivery time

Yeah I was really surprised how early the car came in. I have used chemical guys products for years and have had good results. I am trying Colourlock Leather Shield Clean and Care Kit for the Napa Grey. Saw a lot of Tesla owners use it for their white leather. Hopefully you T-ride comes in early also.
Thanks for the info on the leather care. I am going to go with the COLOURLOCK Leather Shield Clean & Care Kit. Definitely hoping ours arrives sooner than expected like yours did!

We just ordered ours on Monday!!
Was told 6 months to a year wait time. I'm seeing a lot quicker times than that on here though.
Don't care either way, just super jacked!

Compared to the other posts on this forum, I must have been very lucky. I placed an order with a refundable $500 deposit with Kia of Muncie in mid May for a SX AWD P/N/T in Gravity Gray with the Dune Brown interior (looking to use the Costco Auto program and expecting the $1200 savings to be a wash with shipping to MD). Expecting a 6-8 month delivery time…

So last month, I gathered a list of the dealers from the “good” list in the local MD, VA, DE, PA, and NY areas within 6 hours driving time and used Failcat to search their respective allotments and monthly orders and started to contact them inquiring about ordering at MSRP. I placed an order with Nationwide Kia at MSRP with no Adonis after being told that they are expecting 3-4 months after order has been submitted. Asked for an OTD price work up and place my $500 deposit on 6/18. At the time, they told me I was 25th in line and when I asked again a week later then said that I was 5th in line across all trims. I texted my sales rep on Monday seeing if my order had entered into KFOS for July, and to my surprise, he told me that my ETA was actually 07/27/21! He said he didn’t have a VIN for me, but I found my Trim/color/POI accessories on Failcat for my dealer and Steven C. was able to check and verify my initials and the ETA.

SO IT LOOKS LIKE THERE IS STILL HOPE OUT THERE!!! SO HANG IN THERE!
I reserved one that was already coming in but I will continue calling ones I see on failcat to perhaps get one sooner or closer to where I live. Im in the DC area. May I have that good list you speak of?

Thanks.

The good list can be found here (Good Dealer Dealings - List Your Good Dealer Experience). There is also a bad list and you will note a lot of the dealers in the greater DC area (King Kia, Koons Kia, etc) are listing up to $10k above MSRP (depending upon trim)

Yes I did see that but was wondering if someone has a list because there are 63 pages of posts. I would be looking at the same dealers you looked at within a 6 hr driving radius of the DC area.

How do you use the Costco Auto Program for a purchase like this?

How do you use the Costco Auto Program for a purchase like this?
Only Muncie Kia (Indiana) participates in the Costco auto program. Go out to Costcoauto.com if you are a Costco member and put in the zip code for Muncie (47304) and fill out the forms. Better yet, contact Lucas Boehm (765-587-5421) and mention the Costco program and let him know you want to place an order. Since the program is $1200 off and they sell at MSRP, there is quite a backup and it may be a 6-8 month lead time, but check with Lucas as it seems that Kia is picking up the pace of production.

Hope this helps!

Congrats! Glad that see that my <2 months from time of order to ETA was not a fluke and Kia seems to on the ball!

Thanks! The original estimate from the dealership was 30-60 days, but I was prepared for 90-120 after reading a lot of posts. I seemed to have lucked out!

When did you order? I ordered from them as well.
I paid my 500.00 deposit the 17th of march 2021, but don't know when the Telly was ordered for sure. My salesperson is Cameron Hine. I've figured out that just because you paid your Deposit then does not mean it was ordered at that time.

so i ordered from Ferguson also, did you get anything else other than the receipt for 500 dollars?

Not really. Got a print out of what options I want and a price, MSRP with no markups.

I put down the deposit ($500) for my Telluride S trim on April 27 at Oakes Kia in Kansas City, MO. I picked it up on June 18 and drove it home. It took a little less than 7 weeks. I've heard this is unusual. A lot of folks are waiting 4-6 months or longer.

Anyone who initially got a September ETA get an updated ETA recently?

Thanks for the info… I placed an order with Arapaho on 7/10, Will fly to Denver and take the 2-day road trip back to CA when it comes in. Definitely worth saving $7500!
Good for you...and, as a bonus--when you DO get that call--I HIGHLY recommend planning for a stop at the greatest live music venue in this great Nation: Red ROCKS Amphitheatre!! No matter your tastes--they most assuredly have something for all tastes!! If you've never been (and if you already have, you know I'm "preaching to the choir"), you'd be well served to check out their upcoming Live Concert Events Calendar here: Events - Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Just got back from The Avett Brothers 3-day Annual Pilgrimage....MAGICAL!!

That's awesome @OLdguy in Tn , good for you!! Was this a dealer in TN?! I live in N. MS (originally from West TN)--so, this might be more "do-able" for me than tryin to fly out to I-25 in Longmont CO....or Muncie. Just curious who you might've dealt with & any pointers/advice would certainly be appreciated!

Again, congrats!
Cumberland Kia in Cookeville . I dealt with Toiya Gwynn. 931-520-4191 or 931-881-8188. MSRP - vet's discount of $400, + dealer fee. Not sure if they charge extra for out of state customers. Have not seen my order on the failcat as of yet. No problems yet.............time will tell! :) Hope you can find one at a reasonable price.
