If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Based on the comments from the good dealer's thread, I plan on ordering either through White's Mountain Kia in WY or I-25 in Colorado. Can someone please provide some clarity on what fees typically are for? It sounds like I-25 charges a $695 doc fee while White's Mountain charges a $200 doc fee. Am I missing something for why someone would order from I-25 over White's Mountain if they were shipping the vehicle? Both dealerships are roughly the same mileage away from me.

Also, is there anything else I should look out for when finalizing my order in terms of pricing/fees? Both dealers above sell at MSRP and supposedly no additional hidden costs.

Thanks

Cost of document fees by state, maybe?

For one, I-25 is near a major international airport, which makes pick-up easier. They also will work with you on shipping your car out expeditiously as they have great experience doing that. Plus, they are one of the top 10 volume dealers in the country, so they get way more Tellurides than White's Mountain Kia. Those would be the reasons to go with them. Saving $495 on doc fee would be a reason to go with the other dealer.

On the part where they're a volume dealer, how does that impact custom orders? Say I place an order through both, does that mean I-25 is likely to have the order filled quicker or does it mean I'd be behind 50 other orders for example so it might take a while before mine gets fulfilled? In the good dealer's thread, I've seen some people mention that White's Mountain has a smaller queue which would make sense, so I'm unsure if that means my order would be processed quicker there.

WY004 - 34 Tellurides in the last 12 months.
CO034 - 609 Tellurides in the last 12 months.

You do you, but I know who I'd be going with. Yes, WMK might have 2 people in front of you but that could take 2 months to fill. I-25 can have 35 people, and that's half their monthly allotment.

Thanks. I have no issue at all going with I-25 and was looking to better understand how allotment affects orders even with a longer queue so what you're saying makes total sense. I'll be reaching out to I-25 today.

Good luck. I'm not saying it can't happen quicker at WMK, but odds are this high volume dealer will get a better variety as well as quicker turnaround. Plus, they're more familiar with doing out-of-state registration paperwork and shipping.

Thanks. Just got confirmation I'm #11 in the queue for an SX so it's not too long of a line. Looking at a 3-4 month wait, but am totally happy with the whole streamlined experience.
