Order to delivery time

How long does the order process take from the time it's accepted from Kia until it arrives at the dealer on average? 6 weeks?

So i ordered an ebony black SX AWD without Prestige package and i noticed on Failcat that basically no plain SX AWD are being made currently. All of them are either nightfall, prestige, or tow. Am i in for a longer wait bc i just ordered a plain SX?

Unlikely. They make them all in a balanced mix, so they minimize stock on hand of necessary parts. Of course, demand for SX and SX-P is highest, so the mix has to be adjusted; but if anything, they're happy to make outlier models because that allows the to fulfill an order without burning through high demand parts. What you have is an order placed 10 days ago, which will take a while to fill.

I appreciate the response. I was originally told 2-3 months and was then told to expect 4-6 months now due to it not being a high in demand model. So basically was curious if adjusting my order to SX-P would make me get the vehicle quicker.

Thanks for the info… I placed an order with Arapaho on 7/10, Will fly to Denver and take the 2-day road trip back to CA when it comes in. Definitely worth saving $7500!

What did you order from Araphoe? I was just at their lot on friday and they had 5 SOLDs sitting there. Im not expecting mine until sept/october.

Nice! I’m expecting mine in Oct/Nov… ordered on July 10 and they said 12 to 16 weeks. I ordered a 2022 SX Prestige Nightfall in Moss Green/Dune Brown. What did you order? Do you live locally or are you traveling?

Im local 25 mins from Arapahoe Kia. I orderd an EXP white with grey interior. Apparently those are least common and takes longer....

Nice! I went to order mine from H&H and they told me $1500 over MSRP. So I went over to Edwards Kia in CB and they did MSRP for me.

I currently have a 2020 S trim. Got a call from dealer offering me to trade in at original MSRP for a 2022 Model. I checked with car max also and yes 36K for my 20 telluride. I put an order in let's sell how it goes. Lower payment and more features.

I kind of not believing it really. The other people at the dealership told me that they are seeing July 2 as the date that I order from them and I told them its actually June 3. talk to the manager about the status and I was told the give him 10 mins to check but never get back on me. then after a few hours the sales man texted me and said about the ETA. I just don't really believe it. maybe they are just making it up just the shut me up. If true, it will really took me a few days below 5 months. I thought its faster. Kind of funny cause a few weeks ago somebody from the dealership contacted me (not knowing that I already placed an order with them) and told me that she can give me a telluride in maybe 2-3 months cause they KIA gave them a bigger allotment. so I thought, since Im like a month in to this then most likely I'll only be looking at 1-2 months using her 2-3 months if I order that time.

When I ordered mine I was told 100 days was the max they had been out but would likely be sooner because of the 2022 model. He told me the most recent one when I ordered had only taken 7 weeks. They didn’t give me an exact time line but strongly implied that was what it would be.

I'm done talking to them. Nothing I can do now. If the general manager doesn't have the professionalism to get back on me then who else at this dealership will?

I was told my order was picked up by Kia but they wouldn’t be able to give me an ETA for 4-6 weeks. Does that sound correct? I thought they got the first ETA when the order was accepted.

In case someone was doing research like me and could not find any information about this specific location here, I ordered a Telluride SX-P GW with black interior napa on june 16th 2021 from Kia Quebec in Quebec city Canada, was quoted 6 to 8 weeks, found this forum and seen people waiting for way longer so I was anxious about timeline as I wanted to put my other vehicule into storage for winters from now on and needed the Telluride before then as it will be the car I will be driving in winter. just received the vin and ETA of august 5th, maybe this information will help some people near that area! I have not test drive or seen it in person, it will be a surprise, wishing for a good one.
