I’ve had an order in with GA102 since Early April. There are currently 9 total orders ahead of me (not picked up by KOFS), 5 of which or SX-P NF like me. I’m guessing it’ll be like 2 months before my order is picked up based on this dealerships current allocation levels. I have a refundable deposit down already and at MSRP which seems to be rare in GA but if anyone else is aware of a higher volume dealer that’s doing MSRP - would it be worthwhile to place a new order at this point?

I would like to know as well. Wife and I are ready to buy and found a smaller town dealer that will sell at MSRP for our build. However they're estimated the lead time to be atleast 8 months. Looking for a EX Nightfall Edition in Wolf Gray. I havn't been able to pull the trigger yet with that time frame on the table.

If you want to keep actively looking, nothing should be stopping you from calling around to check if VIN’s in transit to other surrounding dealers have not been spoken for. Some have had success catching a Telly in transit and arranging deals to purchase for MSRP once it arrives on the lot.

I’d probably do this as opposed to starting the order process again at another dealer. It sounds like a lot of 2022 models have been shipping out without owners. Similar to how a bunch of Nightfall trims were being shipped out when they were first sold. The factory was prioritizing new models over existing orders in the queue.

If your deposit is refundable, it doesn't hurt to see if someone else can get your build quicker. But realistically that's unlikely, especially at MSRP. Two months is pretty great, IMO. Of course it also depends on how badly you need the new car.

I'm sticking with my bird in hand, should get picked up next month or August, hopefully... Pretty much on schedule. Good luck!

Yeah it is but I’m thinking the same. That I highly doubt I’m going to find the same deal in a timely manner.

I also have an order in at GA102, and I was told as of the middle of April that I was next on the list to get picked up by the factory. As the transition to 2022 was happening, I called and was told that the year-model switch wouldn't affect my place in line. My order still hasn't been picked up, which would mean that GA102 hadn't had any orders like mine picked up in May or June, which struck me as weird. I followed up again with my sales associate, and he told me that there are now six orders in front of mine. I have no idea why or how that happened. He just said that "it's been crazy with the year model change." My guess is that they took the year-model change as a chance to put some unclaimed orders (for which they're going to charge a $5000 premium) ahead of our MSRP orders, but I don't know. It's shady, and it makes me mad, but your other post in this thread is probably right - there's likely not a lot of time to gain from switching. I'm still considering it because I HATE dealing with dishonest businesses.

Interesting… I was wondering how I got bumped as well…. Last I was told on the 15th is that there are 9 orders ahead of me and 5 are SXP nightfall like me. I’ve definitely seen several SXs in failcat so just not sure what to believe.

Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but I remember reading in a post that KFOS was closed in May and no orders were picked up. Still wouldn’t explain June if you were truly “next”.

This is the post I saw about May:

I just called and talked to a sales manager and got very few straight answers. They either don't know what they're doing or he was just trying to get me to stop asking questions. He said I'm now sixth in line and that their next allocations are for seven Tellurides and four Tellurides and that it doesn't matter what type. I don't understand that to be the way it works, but what do I know. I think I'm going to give it another month or so and then look for another dealership. On the bright side for you, you'll move closer to the top of the list either way!

The ones you see in failcat may have been picked up in previous KFOS allotments, orders placed months before you. But I agree that something shady is happening. Does not hurt to find another dealer with refundable deposits just in case you two are getting screwed over.

Really trying to not get frustrated but with only 9 orders in front of me, mine didn’t get picked up. I’m still trying to find out just how many are in front of me but I can’t get a straight answer out of my salesperson. Going to try reach out to the order manager. Waiting another month really sucks.

Aw man, that sucks. Was really hoping it would happen for you.

Not sure if this helps, but I didn't hear anything from my dealer about being picked up, mine just popped up on Failcat on 7/5 (before KFOS opened), and it was confirmed. Hopefully yours is very very close 😣

Sounds like your dealer is either playing games, or has given you bad info several times. I would take my business elsewhere out of principal alone. Too many good dealers out there to get the run around.

Not many dealers in GA are selling at MSRP and I was able to get in touch with the sales manager who confirmed it’s about low allocation. They got 4 total orders picked up and there is only one other SXP in front of me. At this point I might as well stick with it. Ultimately the good thing is that I’m not in a desperate situation and this still gives me time to come up with a larger down payment so it is what it is. This was supposed to be a birthday present for my wife who’s birthday was last month lol so it’s just been a very annoying process. I wish I had understood the volume thing as there were a few more dealers doing MSRP back in April than there are now. This particular dealer was on the ‘good’ list and at the time I ordered was quoting 2-3 months.

I would be frustrated too. At least you got more clarity. Hoping for good news next go around for ya

Did you finally call the dealership? If so, did you learn anything useful? If your experience was like mine, I doubt it. A friend of mine ordered from another GA dealership three months ago and is picking hers up today. I'm thinking about placing another order with that dealership.

I spoke with the order manager and yeah, basically their allocation is small for this month so mine didn’t get picked up this month. It should be picked up in August but anything is possible. The problem with going to another dealer now is that they are just about all doing markups. The only one I’m hearing that’s not is Ed Voyles in chamblee but they are asking like a 3k deposit. I’ll wait until next month and see what happens.

I feel for you man. Do you need to buy in GA? I ordered at a high volume dealer and my order was picked up by KFOS the same month. If you're willing to fly or arrange shipping it wouldn't hurt to put in an order with a high volume dealer that offers a refundable deposit.

The good thing is that the vehicle my wife has is going to my daughter and it’s reliable so I’m really in no rush other than it’s time for my wife to get her upgrade. A couple more months isn’t going to change anything and there is the added benefit of stacking more money. I already have it locked in at MSRP and I can see SXP NFE in failcat so it’ll be fine. I’ll be patient. This dealer is about 30 minutes from home abs about 4 hours from the West Point factory so those are all good things 😂
