If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Does anyone have any info on how to remove the captains chairs from the middle row?
We are moving my daughter into college tomorrow and need just a bit more room so I would like to remove one of the captains chairs from my 2020 Telluride but I cannot figure out how and could not find anything about removing them on an internet search! Please HELP!

These are certainly not designed to come out like some minivan ones we have owned in the past. You will need to move the chair all the way to the back to access the bolts in the front and then slide the seat as far forward as far as possible to get the rear bolts. Depending on your model, you will need to disconnect sensors and other components to free the seat. All this and you are only going to save a cubic feet since the fold mostly flat. Having moved my kids to college a few times and not knowing how many or how far you are going, we have sometimes given up a passenger to make room in the front or have taken a another car. We just moved my daughter last weekend and used a 5 x 8 tow unit since we have a tow hitch. This is always the easiest if you have one.

I am unfamiliar with removing seats. Be sure to utilize the well at the rear of the cargo area. It can hold quite a bit. Good luck!

Never thought about the get a trailer route. You’re right sometimes you need to have the available space ready and easy to load.

Uhaul trailers are so cheap. I had one for 3 days and it was less than $50 bucks. If you to have a trailer hitch, its the best way if you have larger items like beds, desks, chairs, tables, (my kids have plenty of stuff). A 4 x 8 which is the smallest would work for most but they are usually not available. The 5 x 8 is slightly larger but still a size that when empty it can be moved around by hand. I would avoid anything bigger. Good luck. Shown is the 5 x 8 used last weekend. As you can see, that wasn't going to fit in the Telly!
