  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I've been texting back and forth with a Kia Dealership in MD about ordering a new 2022 Telly. When i asked about their allotment and wait time for the vehicle to come in, I was texted this.

"What they are doing is banking on that they will have the color combo that you are looking for. But Kia doesn't have a ordering system, in place, we would use it if they did, there is a reason we get so many Telluride here at our location".

Wth is he talking about?

Thanks,
Kevin

Seems to be a dealer that the owner doesn't want to do custom orders.

I just asked about how other people are ordering their new vehicles and I got this response

"Correct, we get about 25-35 Telluride every month and sell about 1/3 to a 1/4 of them before they arrive. We put up all the Telluride once we have the vin and will discuss pricing with clients. Once an agreement is reached we
collect the support doc's Drivers license and insurance card credit app if finance with us and take a deposit (refundable) and contact client once its in. This is the closest to ordering as you can get from Kia. We are very upfront and discuss on concerns and address any questions. So everyone is on the same page".

I feel we are talking about the same thing in essence 🤣🤣

Wow this dealer is full of shit. Next they will ask you to pay 10k over and tell you no one is charging MSRP. Run away! There are a few dealers in MD, as well as VA and PA ordering at MSRP, use on that won't lie to you.

Also, what dealer is this? I'm in MD so curious.

King Kia

They are one of the highest mark-up dealers in DC metro area. Good luck.
