Hi all -- I'm looking to sell our 2021 Telluride EX that has the following features we bought in July 2021:

1. Dark Moss (exterior) and Light Gray (interior)
2. Premium package
3. Nightfall package
4. Towing hitch (w/self-leveling suspension)

The reason we want to sell is we wanted the SX trim (and have one on order). See Dealer card for full details.

Why does that matter? I’d assume a highly targeted and specific forum such as this one - the audience can determine based on familiarity with the models and its features.

It would only be confusing to show MSRP as we paid over MSRP - so I’m not looking to debate why it’s over MSRP if they’re not interested nor familiar with the (abnormal) market specific to this car and our location (SoCal).

The autotrader page description (in seller comments) lists this as SX - might want to fix that.

You might also consider taking out the comment about avoiding $10k California dealer mark-up, as that appears to be exactly how much you're marking it up. It's your car, get what you can for it, but that comment is kind of a slap in the face.

Thanks! We might and we might even keep it (and cancel our order) - we're exploring all options at the moment. It's close to what we want, but not exact.

We got it appraised by CarMax and it's close to what we total we paid for (price + tax). We've been unable to get appraised by Carvana as they're not yet seeing it registered.

My friend (who also owns a Telluride and recommended it to me) suggested I seek a private sale rather than CarMax or Carvana as those services tend to work better for cars with more mileage.

Thanks for catching that - the primary title and features had it correct. I had it incorrect in my description (I guess I had my SX order in mind!), so I've submitted the correction now.

Good feedback on the $10k - I'll do that as well.

Thanks for everyone’s feedback! I was able to sell the car successfully and close to what I was seeking.

Now the waiting game for my SX on order.

Yes, followed directions from another user here, there are a couple of posts floating around with pictures/videos and how-tos. I almost think the front looks a bit too blended in, maybe a coat of glossifier will fix that. The rear was an absolute must, it looks way better and was much easier to tape off than front.

If you want another suggestion as to an outfit that buys and sells online try Vroom. I sold my 2017 WRX within 2 weeks of listing with them. I got within $500 of my asking price but I also have snow tires mounted on rime w/TPMS that did not go with the vehicle so there's my $700 make cost. Fast sales and easy pickup.

We bought the car outright as we intended on selling right away (long story) to avoid the additional loan overhead.

If you have a loan - I think you could just have the buyer make the cashier’s check to your lender to payoff the loan (and to obtain & transfer the title) and have the lender cash you out?
