However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Good Dealer Dealings - List Your Good Dealer Experience

My first order was dark moss then I read somewhere it was hard to keep clean, so when I reordered I did the wold gray. I have gotten a few stares so far, at my regular sub shop, I walked into today she was like that is quite the upgrade from your other car 😂. It is definitely a comfy ride, the speakers are sooo much better than my Nissan.
Get used to the stares. 👍😉 In fact, even though I catch myself admiring mine (2021 Glacial White), I do a double-take when I see the Wolf Gray! Awesome with the Nightfall! Congratulations! Looks like the little guy is happy! 😊

You may have already mentioned it, but what color did you choose for the interior?

Huffiness Kia told me this morning they will only order for customers with an address within 100 mile radius (due to recent high demands!)
I live in Texas, but not that close. They were very nice.

Do you have a relative that lives within the 100 mile range? They may let you purchase one, if you use the relative’s local address.

That is a good idea

By using a local address, expect everything (snail mail correspondence, title, registration, possibly finance/loan premium books, etc.) to go to that local address. The address can be changed after the purchase is complete. It’s a hassle, but, probably worth it.

Btw, this may be a sales manager restriction, you might be able to get away with using your own address when with the Finance person.

He definitely is happy. I get excited whenever I see another one on the road. I went with the black since he very sloppy and can make a mess from thin air. I personally don’t like brown interiors though they do look classy.

I haven’t posted on here yet, just been reading everything. I just put in an order at i25 with Nicole for SX prestige gravity gray nightfall with gray interior, tow package, and interior lighting add on(ah, what the hell right?) for msrp. Glad I looked on here, otherwise my local dealer is charging 5,000 markup. Super super easy placing an order and very upfront. Can’t wait to take a little vacation to Colorado and drive the new Telly back home in a few months :)

Another vote for i25 Kia in CO. Just received my ETA just a couple months after ordering. Received updates and prompt responses throughout the wait.

My ETA is just shy of 3 months from order to delivery for an SX AWD w/ prestige and towing packages.

Coming from CA where every other dealer is marking up $7-$15k, it's a no-brainer.

Besides, this is as close to the Tesla buying experience you can get - NO haggling at the dealership, do all the research online, and have the car delivered to your front door.

I have positive things to say about two different Colorado dealerships which I got in touch with. First I contacted I25 which had excellent response times and laid out the ordering process details very well. You can tell by their communication they are very good at what they do and have made made the process of ordering a Telluride simple. I worked with Dominic directly whom has a great reputation on the Board.

The other dealership I contacted was Peak Kia North who are located about 24 miles north of I25 in Windsor, CO. Same MSRP pricing and dealer fee (dealer fee was within $5 of I25) and same ease of ordering. The difference for me was that they had no one on the waiting list for a Telluride with a Bench seat. The estimated order time was 1 month shorter than I25 for an EX non premium. They also were able to provide me with an exact quote for shipping which I liked. The only downside to Peak Kia North is that their $500 deposit is non refundable. But that didn't matter to me since I know I want the vehicle and I can't find a Telluride within the state at MSRP.

I can confidently recommend both dealerships and have nothing but positive things to say about each. I'm located in the Bay Area of CA and had trouble finding any dealer willing to sell anywhere near MSRP (like so many other Californians). I can't wait for it to be built. Thank you to everyone on this Board who provided quality info on the good dealers, its appreciated.

Thanks a ton to Illini99 & @prettyh8machine for info on Classic Kia of Waukegan and the Sales Rep John Plewka. It was the easiest conversation over a car I have ever had. No BS, John and Classic are straight shooters. Ordered a White SXP at sticker today. Highly recommend them thus far for folks in the Midwest.

Many thanks to everyone one here. I placed an order with John last week. Super low key guy, exactly the kind of person I like to deal with. He knows all about these comments on here. Anyway, I look forward to checking in and keeping you updated on times. He was saying 4-6mo's. Thanks again!

I too live in the Phoenix area and the only dealership I found that will honor MSRP is Royal Kia in Tucson, but as of yesterday when I spoke with them they are not allowed to place any more orders until some of the 29 already in the queue get picked up by Kia. I reached out to numerous dealers out of state that supposedly stuck to MSRP based on the suggestions in this forum, but kept running into $5-$8k markups.

Finally, I spoke with Chris Atwood at I25 Kia today (30 miles north of Denver) and just placed my order. They do have a $695 dealer fee, which I was happy to agree to after 20+ experiences with inflated pricing. $500 deposit and if I want it shipped (vs. flying there and driving back) the cost is $1,200.

Golden - what was your final price out the door. Your order is the exact same configuration that I plan on ordering.

I ordered from i25 and they said the sales tax is based on your address cause they pay your out of state taxes on your behalf. (If you’re out of state)

Gonna throw out Gossett Kia Covington Pike in Memphis TN as a great place to work with. Kia in Clarksville where I live wanted a significant ‘market adjustment’ even for ordered vehicle so we elected to make the drive to Memphis instead. Got ours ordered for MSRP and they took our used Telluride at the price we asked for which brought our sales tax down to such a negligible number that the total value on trade in was equal to having sold it for the private buyer price we got quoted in elsewhere.

Halleen Kia in Sandusky, OH - best dealership experience I've ever had. Danny, Travis, and Rich were all great. Everything was up front and transparent, and it really felt like they were advocates for ME and not just trying to get a sale. I really wish they'd open a location in Toledo so I could avoid Taylor Kia for service...

For those that ordered through i25, how long did it take for your order to get accepted? I was told 2-4 weeks after the deposit date. Seems like orders to accepted once a month?

We ordered thru i25 -
order placed - Jun 2nd
in KFOS - Jul 15
in Failcat - Sept 14
original delivery quoted as 11/3, actually showed up on dealer lot 10/20
we ordered an EX AWD non-prestige with Tow in case the build makes a difference to allocation

I believe KFOS opens 1x a month around mid-month. Once in KFOS dealer can give you an ETA, but no VIN yet. The date is apt to move around a bit during the process. Our salesman was great and sent us a weekly text with an ETA during the whole process, so we were kept up to date.

That is really GREAT dealer communication! Well done i25!

Dominic at I-25 is great. He has sent me a WEEKLY text ETA update since the order was picked up by KFOS. I ordered a GW SX Nightfall/Tow Butterscotch on July 14. He let me know the order was picked up around August 12. Showed up in failcat on October 12. ETA has been 11/12 and was pushed back to 11/20 a few weeks ago.

You and I ordered the exact same car! So you have good taste for sure! Mine actually arrived to the dealer about 5 days ahead of the ETA. The WG with Butterscotch looks terrific IMHO.

That's great! You don't see many with Butterscotch, but it is a great color. Are you in Colorado or did you drive it back on a road trip?
