Good Dealer Dealings - List Your Good Dealer Experience

Earlier I was getting gas and a guy in a Maserati convertible drove by slowly....we looked at each other and nodded at each other's car.

Honestly if it wasnt for this forum i would probably feel like why the hell are they looking at me that way! I get the stares sometimes n i just give everyone a knod!

I would also highly recommend John at Classic Kia. Reached out to him after seeing his name here and placed an order for a Gravity Grey EX-P Nightfall on 7/12, it was accepted into the system with a VIN on 8/9 and we took delivery on 9/18. He kept in touch every few weeks and provided updates as he got them. The process of finalizing all of the paperwork was incredibly easy - John asked for a number of items to be sent in advance and it made things move quickly. Anyone in northern IL or southern WI should definitely reach out to John for ordering at MSRP.
Thanks a ton to Illini99 & @prettyh8machine for info on Classic Kia of Waukegan and the Sales Rep John Plewka. It was the easiest conversation over a car I have ever had. No BS, John and Classic are straight shooters. Ordered a White SXP at sticker today. Highly recommend them thus far for folks in the Midwest.

Hi guys,
I'm new to the forum and very happy to be here. I am looking to purchase my Telluride this month or the next, depending on the possible deals for Thanksgiving. My local dealer here in Las Vegas, Findlay KIA, is telling me that the markups are for the vehicles they have in the lot and you can always order your car with them and the markup does not apply.
Are you guys aware of this process? Based on the KIA USA website where you can build your Telluride, my 2022 SX with Espresso interior FWD comes out at $42,690 before tax.
I see a lot of you recommending i25Kia in CO. Is it worth it for me to go through them? Do they have better deals than this? Any info and numbers would be greatly appreciated. I am going to attach the screen shot of the Telluride I built on the website.
MSRP is MSRP but maybe i25 can get the car faster based on their high volume? I've talked to dealers that will still charge a $10K mark-up on SX orders. A local dealer gave me MSRP but wait time is 7+ months. i25 quoted wait time is 4-5 months but they've seen it come in 3 on a few occasions.

I believe they all have the 7+ waiting times in the paperwork, but they get the cars in about 3 to 4 months. At least that's what the local dealership told me. Will definitely get in touch with i25 for sure. Thanks for the input.

:) My Boss insisted me in getting the Wolf Gray, as Nightfall looks great on Wolf Gray rather than Dark Moss which was my first choice. Totally agree with the Boss here :)

Congrats and good luck. Do keep us posted. Any details you wanna share about pricing?
Thank you. Agent was very transparent and absolutely no mark up or any other cost on top of MSRP except taxes and fee. Around 45K with Towing, Premium, Nightfall as specified in my signature.

Yes, the one I have on order is my wife's car so she picked colors, and model. She wanted WG, SX NF, so that is what is coming.

Huffines Kia Corinth (Dallas area)
Salesperson: Ryan Bassett
One of the easiest car transactions I have ever had. Placed the order 7/22; Delivery 10/16.
MSRP. No BS fees. No extras. No hard push for anything other than mandatory fees. Totally transparent. What I was quoted at time of order is what I paid.

Given what some of the other dealers in the area (cough cough Vanguard) are doing, Huffines is an excellent way to go. Can't recommend them enough.

That's correct, Findlay Kia LV doesn't charge a markup for their orders. Other than that, their normal markup is $4000 for Tellurides on the lot or in their dealership allocation. I can't speak for i25 Kia but if you're local to Vegas, it's probably best to go through them since they're closeby. They'll also smog your car for free every year, and give you complimentary maintenance for the first year of ownership. If you call and ask about it they can explain more what that entails. I called earlier today and talked to Joe, who's one of the internet guys there. He made it pretty simple and didn't give me any fluff. He says their orders take 3-5 months on average to show up. Gave me some good info on the other LV dealers too. Apparently he's had customers calling saying that the two other Kia dealers in town are charging $15000 - $20000 over MSRP. Ridiculous. Luckily Findlay was the first dealer I called or I probably would have searched out of state too.

Just picked mine up from Tami from Auffenberg Kia in O'fallon IL. They were really courteous and made today a very positive experience. I got a Gravity Gray SXP with the Nightfall Package and paid $50,265 which is MSRP + Documentation fee and paint protection that was $900. I know a lot of people wouldn't take that addon but I honestly didn't even try arguing it considering I had been looking for months and ordering was not an option for me. They gave me the military discount and refunded me the Uber from the airport. It was a good experience for me.

I also placed my order with them. What did you order?

That's awesome. I placed my order on 7/19 and the initial ETA is 10/31. I haven't received the VIN yet so I'm assuming the date will be pushed back.
I never received any word before I got the call from Ryan that my car would be on the lot within a week.

Then again, I never asked for any notification.

I'd like to give a shout out to Lucas Boehm at Kia of Muncie in Muncie, Ind. I heard about Lucas here and started communicating with him back in January when I couldn't find a dealership in Alabama or Tennessee selling at MSRP. Closest I found was $3K over. Highest was $20,000!! over at Greenway Kia in Franklin, Tenn. (stay away from those guys). Anyway, Lucas quoted me $1,100 below MSRP with my Costco discount for an SX AWD Wolf Gray Nightfall and estimated my wait at 6-8 months. I put down a $500 refundable despot but continued to look around thinking surely I would be able to find something closer to home at MSRP. But all the dealerships in Alabama and surrounding states are charging ADM. Since I didn't have an immediate need for a new car, I decided to wait. Lucas was quick to respond to emails, answered all of my many questions, and kept me updated on my place on the wait list. He emailed me about a month ago that my Telluride had been made and assigned a VIN, and we drove to Muncie 2 Saturdays ago to pick it up. Lucas couldn't have been nicer. The deal was exactly as he had outlined, and it was probably the easiest car buying experience I've ever had. Their finance guy Craig was also excellent. No one tried to up-sell us on any extras that we hadn't agreed to. So we ended up paying $1,100 below MSRP. If you aren't in a rush and want the satisfaction of being one of the few Telluride owners in the country to get your new car below MSRP (with the Costco member discount), I highly recommend Lucas and Kia and Muncie.
FYI Bramlet Kia Decatur AL selling at MSRP.

How had been the wait times for people who ordered SX with Hilltop kia CA few months ago (when they were doing MSRP - not anymore I guess ) ?
