• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Has anyone driven an SX versus any of the lower tiered models. I was wondering how the leather compares.

I read somewhere on here that the SX has real leather while the EX and the S have synthetic.

Thanks in advance

The LX and S have synthetic. The EX and SX have real leather. The SXP has upgraded Napa leather. They’re all good options imo.

SX-p seats felt like butter. Sat in an LX and seats felt hard, but not terrible.

I wonder why there isn't a detailed overview of this on any of the literature provided by Kia. Seating is extremely important. They certainly wouldn't offer different engine options without providing its specs. The nappa leather should also be an option on its own. Why should I have to spend 2k Grand on an all wheel drive system that I don't need in the south.

The only part of The prestige packet that I really wanted was the nappa leather in the second row ventilation. it would have been nice if that were a standalone. I don't need automatic rain-sensing wipers and heads up display is just smoke and mirrors to me

At any rate, I know I will enjoy the seats in the SX. I have been sitting on the plastic synthetic leather seats in my Chevy avalanche for 12 years

I was in the same boat as you, saved myself the 4k and never looked back. The leather is great, its soft and supple, the ventilation works great too. Overall super happy with my sx.

That's good to hear. 4k is.......4k. so yeah, I'm rowing the same boat right there with ya

I believe the EX has real leather seays, same as the SX (w/o Prestige), but with fewer color options. The Prestige package comes with Nappa leather seating and different color options (Dune brown vs Espresso, etc).

Exactly. I think the dune brown color is amazing. I wish it were offered on the nonP SX model. To me the espresso was poorly thought through. The door trimming and dashboard are also Brown. There is no contrast. It looks like you're sitting inside of a Hershey kiss. Frankly, I think the expresso seating is awful. I love the gray leather interior but I'm afraid my kids will destroy the seats, that's why I went with black.

Well said. The brown steering wheel is awful. Dune brown looks great however!

Does anyone have pictures of the US Version of the SX with espresso? The pictures on here are the Canadian Version with silver rims. I spoke to a KIA rep who says the steering wheel is black and not brown for the US version

The website's 360 degree view for the interior (which I can only see on my phone for some reason) shows a black steering wheel, not brown.

People have posted expresso interiors selling in the US that have the all brown interior with the brown steering wheel!

Looks like it is brown - a quick search on YouTube and found this video showing SX Moss on Espresso:

It looks pretty nice, I think, and the black carpeting gives some contrast, along with the black center console ( with the brown leather trim)

Finally a decent video of espresso interior! Thank-you! I ordered the exact vehicle. Hoping it will be here in a week or two. Love the espresso leather and i think the brown dash/steering wheel will grow on me as well. The Moss/Espresso combo looks great! Good luck with it man!

You're welcome! I also ordered this combination (SX with Moss Green on Espresso), but I don't even have a VIN yet. I ordered about May 13th.

I ordered 4/30 Snow White/espresso . Still nothing. But if you look on this site you will find an excellent break down of all of the colors sold. As of Monday, 25K made, only 99 with espresso for all exterior colors so it will be pretty rare. (A Snow White/expresso w/o towing and FWD shows a total of 9 have been built)

Which website is showing that info? I don't see the URL.

Its a member on here from Quebec that has a spreadsheet showing each color built
