• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... November update available for download

I made a post already about the errors I'm getting currently can't update. Will try again later in a couple days with a different computer. I'm curious if anyone else will have issues getting a 117 error at the bottom right corner. Can't find online what that error means.

Photo?

I had issues using a usb 3.0 stick before. Using a 2.0 fixed my issue. Both sticks same size and vendor, just different usb versions.

I did the same thing back in June, I had been a long time Android guy, but the full screen support in the apple car play and with how smooth and responsive it is, has been amazing. while I hate the purple and all the icons, i am running carplay 99.9 percent of the time so at the end of the day it really doesn't even matter that much to me as I thought it would, was hoping for some new features for this update but like other people have said, seems to just be some little tune up.
Same, which is why I updated this time without too much worry. The other thing I use is the navigation and the voice recognition for that went down the tubes with the last update so not much to lose this go around.

Haven’t text thoroughly, but seems the I tell the navigation an address over voice command and it prompts for a POI category is still present. Basically makes the navigation not usable while the car is in motion. I paid for UVO and that didn’t even fix it.

The updater would only allow me to download the 2022 update and when choosing the 20-21 gave me a message about not being available at this time. This was this AM

I was able to do the 2020/21 yesterday. Hmmmmm.

I can't get the 20-20 update this AM. Here's the error msg:

It should be all the same anyways. 20-22 with 10.25” screens are equivalent to “Standard Class Gen5W Navigation” on the updater website. For a long time, 2021 owners could only update if they downloaded the 2020 update files.

I did check and there is a slightly different file for 20-21 and 22 versions. Not in any hurry and will wait for it to come back up. I just tried it again and I am getting the same message being unavailable. Perhaps they instantly recognized its limitations and are fixing it??

I tried again at 4:00 PM CST, and same error message...

I no longer have CarPlay after the update… maybe that is why they pulled it. Reinstalled the software with no luck. Tried two usb cables no luck. Forgot the car in my phone settings - no luck.

Did not call for support yet, but not thrilled with this.

Ok, was coming on here to say it wouldn't let me download the update. I guess I can try tomorrow. We have a road trip coming so maybe I should wait until after we get back.

Since I’ve not bought the Telly yet…can you not do the updates OTA (over the air) or by connecting to your home WiFi?

In my case, I had to re-enable Android Auto in the car settings after the update. I bet it's the same for Apple CarPlay.

Nevermind - found it under the phone projection setting.

I owe you one! That was it!

Can anybody with an expired UVO subscription confirm if the new update removes Vaisala weather function? The release notes says subscription is required for weather.

With the November 2020 update, the weather service still works even without paid UVO subscription.
Working for me without UVO subscription.

Oddly enough - this used to be the case for me until I subscribed to auVO for a month during a long roadtrip - then it did not work when I cancelled the UVO.

Glad to have it back again.

No, it is a 25GB+ file usually and you need a 32GB thumb drive or larger to download the file to.

There is no way for the car itself to connect to home WiFi or even tether internet off your phone. Only can be updated via local storage drive. Either purchased from mapnsoft or downloaded for free from update.kia.com

Mine said “unsucessful update” and then I got the 117 error at the bottom right. I have a 2022 SXP. Used a Mac to download onto a usb 2.0. I’m already bringing mine in on Friday to see if they can fix my issue with CarPlay cutting out pretty frequently. Maybe I’ll have to add this to the list.

Edit: I tried the option to install after the car was turned off. That worked.

Did you try a different cable - could be a flaky cable.
