• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Kia Telluride twin turbo V6 a possibility?

If you want turbos buy the Genesis GV80 3.5 tt....it is great fun! It gets 24MPG and chipped makes 470HP!

I own a 2020 SXP and am still impressed with the intended use...A great 3 row SUV with all that I need. Now...what has KIA done since...Hmmm Nightfall??? Just black out the "Chrome" ...change the wheels, add fob start, OHHH and yup...add a NEW badge. Did I miss anything? Did the trans or power plant change??? Body panels ( but for grill). Still no duel L+R...exhaust that some wanted. I see a vehicle basically the same and to me that is a plus... We will have fitting parts in salvage as numbers increase and sad to say accidents. This makes for availability of repair parts. Do I like POWER??? You bet. So I find another way to do that. Over the last year or so, I had bought a 66 Mercury Cyclone GT 390 CI 4 speed. Due to some constraints it has found a new home in Chicago. Then about a month later I bought another car...1968 Ford Galaxie XL...This one has a C-6 behind a Holbrook built 428 Cobra Jet. Power?? you bet... now lets talk fuel...PREMIUM only with additives. Cost of gas...lot more now than a year ago and going up. The point...I paid a lot less for the XL than an imagined turboed T-Ride and will get the thrill of speed and power satisfaction. My thought is that the T-Ride and Pali were never meant to fill a POWER/SPEED market. hmmmm wonder the $$$$ of the Genesis GV80 3.5 tt?? I will continue to enjoy my 2020 for years to come. It does what it is suppose to do practical/comfortable. I will also enjoy my gas guzzling XL for what it is...costly power and speed manufacture. If I get crazy and break the XL, I still have the T-Ride to take care of needs...not so much the wants. Love my "old" T-Ride.

Much more likely to see plug in hybrid and all electric versions IMO. Pressure to meet higher mileage mandates are most easily met by plug in hybrid, and eventually all electric.

Completely agree. The internal combustion engine is going the way of the steam engine very shortly. 5-10 years? Consumer demand is up despite the electric car's obvious current (haha) limitations. Much cheaper to make a DC motor over a gas engine.

If you can wait on your order for a new Telluride at MSRP (I have been waiting 4 months so far) then the Telluride is less expensive than a Genesis GV80 but if you have to pay 10 to 15k over on a fully loaded Telluride (to have about the same features) IMHO you are better off with the Genesis GV80 3.5 tt. I already own the GV80 and have 6000 miles on it. I will write a comparative review of both of them once I take ownership of the Telluride. The telluride is not slow with 0-60 time at 7 seconds which is faster than most V8 cars that I grew up with.

On the electric car front I have watched my friends struggle with managing their whole trip around the charging. Not for me yet LOL.....don't like getting bitched at about going less than 20% charge or over 80% and don't play the radio too loud while not running the AC or heater and I think we will make it LOL! You will need a stable significant other if you buy one of these.

One can add up the # of btus of energy of all the gasoline that we use at the moment to extrapolate how much expansion of the grid will be needed (YIKES). Politicians are always BIG on talk and short on heavy lifting especially with a country in decline.

I ask this one question, hold old is the device you typed that message on? An electric car is essentially a computer with wheels and has and will continue to evolve exponentially as compared to an internal combustion engine. I know I can do things today on my lithium powered smartphone that a computer struggled to do 5-10 years ago. The power grid has greater benefit to the public and is easiest to improve than fixing our oil and gas dependencies. One NYC blackout creates rioting and one Texas ice storm takes people back to the ice age. A sustainable and redundant power grid where people aren’t out of power for days saves lives. I experienced a pipeline hack and just stayed home.

Moore's law is easier to change than the physics in moving weight.:)
Exactly right. So solve the physics problem with technology that delivers more torque and generates more power instead of relying on technology invented in the late 1800s. Google “eDumper” and then think of the weight that beast is able to move on batteries.
