I had been watching Failcat obsessively and never saw my vehicle show up. Call your dealer!

Understanding my stance in line of KFOS allocation for my dealership (less than 7 ) - the vehicles publishing in FailCat have previously been assigned a VIN and are being published because they are going into painting. My dealer stated they would advise when my order was accepted into KFOS (VIN initially created).

The reasoning for my question - vehicles showing in FailCat have been accepted into KFOS X_amount_of_time (prior) to when they are publicly published in FailCat.

The dealer stated they would advise when my order was accepted into KFOS, I am just simply trying to back track data I've been capturing.

Can anyone explain why two cars made after mine hit failcat on 11/11 (same dealer, exact model, color, and accessories) made it to my dealer before mine did and my eta has been pushed from 11/30 to 12/7 to 12/14 to now 12/21, my sales rep is worthless.

You would have as much luck asking a magic 8 ball to get an answer trying to figure out the process. A dealer could have 2 vehicles picked up in the same KFOS window and have initial ETA's a month apart. Once they get picked up, they go into the magic KIA mixing bowl and the initial ETA's are spit out. In the two years of observation, that is the most hidden part of the whole process.

Ordered picked up KFOS: 12.6.2021 (no VIN)
ETA to dealer: 1.28.2022

Im assuming my dealer is using their best judgement when predicting ETA since i dont have a VIN yet.

That is a 4 month lead time. I am told that it is taking 5 to 6 months. I paid deposit on 2nd which is posted to my CC also. Do i get some order number from dealer?

I ordered my SX w/Nightfall and tow on Sept. 9. Dealer called this morning and it is in and I can pick it up tomorrow!!! I'm in CT and bought at MSRP. So EXCITED!!!

Can I ask where you bought??? I put my order in on 9/20 at Executive in Wallingford... have heard nothing... Thanks.

Updated to add that while my vehicle was delivered to Yonkers Kia on November 9th, they sold it to someone else on November 10th without returning my calls about scheduling pick up. Terrible experience... Do not order from Yonkers.

She did. $1K. I don’t know if she got it back though. I think they said it would be refunded. But, have not seen any updates from her on here confirming that.
