If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi, everyone - I apologize if there is a thread similar, I’m still getting acclimated to this forum!

I’ve recently entered the Telluride world after being enthralled and observing the vehicle since its release. I ordered at the beginning of the week through a dealer in the greater Pittsburgh area and I know I’ve got quite some time, but I was curious if the wait times for certain trims are shorter or it all seems pretty uniform in the wait time.

Thanks!

It’s probably hard to say with certainty since there are many variables:

  1. How many they produce at the Georgia plant
  2. Release cycle of a new trim they are trying to push (ie, increased nightfall production when first released)
  3. Fulfillment of orders versus non-ordered allocations
  4. The volume sales for your particular dealer, and how much of each trim they sell per month
  5. How many people are ahead of you ordering the same trim

Best please to get all these stats are on Failcat website.

Thank you so much. Like I mentioned, I was always a watcher but never really fully-vested until now. I’ll check that website out :)

Do you know best to read the details on Failcat? I'm trying to view the data and understand when the cars are supposed to arrive at dealer X and I only see the Created date and not sure what that date means.

I believe the "Created Date" is when the VIN was created, not necessarily the date the car itself was created or finished. I'm not sure where in the process of building the car that the VIN gets created and assigned to the car.

So for failcat, are those orders being fullfilled? or just orders in general to a dealer.

Say I start as number 77 (un-fullfilled) on the list 1/10, and I see 15 SX's that month. How do I figure that out from where I am?! lol
