  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... IMG_1482.JPGWe just picked up our Telluride SX and took it on a family trip over Stevens Pass in the Cascades and along the Columbia River to Lake Chelan (couple of photos in the Gravity Gray thread here). We got about 17 MPG on the climb from Sultan to the pass summit, and a cumulative 24 MPG for for the trip in Smart mode with Top Tier 87 octane gas.

We had more than enough engine power and suitable gearing on the way up, and when we hit thick fog and snow in the higher elevations, the foglight, cameras and lane assist made it an easy drive. The LED headlights are very bright and the the auto high beam feature worked great. Handling and road feel was great on the mountain highways, in curving canyons and on city streets. With the engine now broken in, I’m eager to put the adaptive cruise control and highway driving assist to the test.

We weighed the Telluride mainly against the Tesla Model X, Volvo XC90 hybrid and Tahoe/Yukon. Telluride was the best choice.

Our garage also includes a 2016 Cherokee 4x4 and a 2003 BMW 330i ZHP.
