Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message

Hello All! I ordered my Kia telly SX V6 AWD prestige dark moss with dune brown interior on 10/15. Kia has not picked up my order yet and the dealer has no information. Is there anyway to look or see when this may happen?

Nope. Waiting is the name of the game until it gets picked up by KFOS. You can guess by finding out where you are in their queue and finding out about how many they get each month, but it is only a guess.
Nope. Dealer won’t know until it gets picked up. There’s no tracking method until it gets shipped to the dealer. They are in the dark until it gets picked up and an ETA is given.
It’s based on how many total allocations your dealer gets of each trim and drivetrain. Seems to be SX models are taking longer than others.
Several folks with orders from around the country did report their Sep/Oct orders were picked up this month so you may be close but again all dependent on the volume of your dealership and how many of each trim they get.

Gotcha, I had no idea it was allocation based. So I may be screwed if it was a small dealer? I couldn't imagine it would take much longer. I ordered 10/15 and still in the dark. I just reached out to the dealer to ask what order time frame is landing right now.

They gave me an eta of 4/12 but I don't buy that. I'm checking KFOS daily. Once I see it there then I can assume 2-4wks for delivery.

So my local dealer (that has been about $6K above MSRP) just called me - i told him I put in two factory orders at MSRP with two dealers out of state so I‘m not interested. he pressed and I told him the specs if what I ordered - he said he has what I am looking for coming in on May 11 and he might be able to go MSRP with manager approval- i looked in Failcat but don't see anything that matches the specs. Could he have a scheduled delivery or estimate from Kia without it being in failcat?

I ordered mine 9/22 and still on the list with my dealer. In some ways, if you can find a smaller dealer that doesn't have a long waitlist of orders you are probably getting your car sooner. I mean if there are 5 people on a list and they get 3 Telly's a month you only wait two months in the perfect world for your order to get pulled. I went with a bigger dealer mainly bc they were highly recommended and sell at MSRP with no upcharges. I was number 130 something in line or something like that and now I am at 42 5 months later but the last two months, have only moved up about 10 each month due to the slowdown. I am now kind of hoping I don't make the 2022 cutoff and I'll be up front in line for the 2023 with whatever small changes they decided to make.. <3

Adding in my timeline here since I obsessively checked this while I was waiting!
10/2/22: Ordered from Kia of Clarksville (Indiana)
Mid-December: ETA of early March
2/11: VIN on Failcat
2/18: Picked my beauty up, the day before my birthday!
Justin (who is on this forum - hi!) took our initial order and helped during the waiting process, Jorge helped on pickup day, and I've forgotten the finance person's name already but he was so helpful. They were all three great and I would definitely recommend the dealership. We drove down from Indy to avoid a markup and it was worth the drive!

Yes. My dealer told me about some incoming vehicles that I did not see in failcat until almost 2 weeks later. Also failcat does not show everything. There have been may comments on here to that effect. People have gotten their Tellys and never saw them on failcat.

I ordered July 9th.. finally got and ETA of April 9th. Haven’t seen on fail cat yet

Congratulations!!! I would drive to get mine also. I did end up ordering from a dealer about an hour away bc they were selling at MSRP so no “market adjustments”. How exciting you got an early bday present!
