• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I have a s model. Looking at some trims i see the center console has a door over the area /compartment as shown in image below. I can't seem to find a picture of an s interior . Is this only on higher trims?

I can confirm the LX does not have a cover to that area.

Only EX and above. I was surprised the first time I saw an S interior with no door. Seems like an odd choice by KIA. I always leave mine up anyway.

I have an S also without a door. I have an Elantra Limited w/ Ultimate Package that has a door and I never use it because it pinches the charging cables. I think I prefer without.

Looking at the Parts list, it does not appear to be an expensive part, i just cant for the life of me figure out how to do the swap without tearing apart the entire console.
