• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... When I have the auto engine turnoff at idle activated the engine is not turning off. I have my foot on the bake the A with a circle shows up
by the rpm indicator, but the engine stays on. Is there a setting that is off?

Is the circle yellow or green? And you might be actually turning it off by pushing the button next to the shifter. If it's illuminated, it's off (that's a disable button).

Several reasons why the ISG operating conditions are not met, and would prevent it from turning off the engine.

Common ones are engine coolant temp, temperature outside, climate control temp not reached.

Even when the ISG does turn off your engine, when it senses the battery charge is getting too low or the cabin temp is getting to far from the climate control set point, it will need to start the engine again prematurely.

I do agree though that the threshold for battery charge is set too high for ISG to function. Unless I drive for hours on the highway everyday, the battery hardly ever has enough juice to power ISG. Only when I charge the battery to full with a charger will it restore ISG function for a day or two.

It is an orange circle and an orange A.
Is it supposed to be active when the engine is turned on or is it manual?

Make sure it’s not depressed in the center console, meaning it’s not illuminated. If it’s still not shutting off then, it’s because of the many reasons explained linked above.
