• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... So, we were laying in bed and the alarm started going off after some intense thunder. I went out and looked out the window to make sure someone wasn't actually trying to break in (extremely unlikely during a nasty storm like that). Nobody was there so I unlocked the doors so I could see inside, nothing. Re-locked the doors and never heard anything after. Anyone else experience anything like this? I assumed it was built in-glass break sensors with the stock alarm? I got a notification on my UVO app saying it detected motion in the car but I think it was a false alarm...I also receive notifications that my panic alarm is going off, when it actually isnt...I'm starting to think the UVO system is glitching out all around? I've been in contact and made the false panic alarm issue known to UVO and there is a case open but no response yet about a fix.

A similar issue has been reported pertaining to the Rear Occupant Alert (ROA) motion sensors. That could be detecting motion. In my case it was a window cracked a half inch and wind blowing the rear window sun shade. In your case, could be the wind knocking the car around. Do you have anything hanging from your rearview mirror?

If you're not worried about rear occupants (kids, dogs, etc.) you can disable ROA from the gauge cluster menu.

I had a feeling it might be the occupancy sensor. I do have 2 little ones but I'm not worried about forgetting to leave them in the back, lol.

If you've got littles, you may want to double check your windows are all the way up then. My 6yo likes to push buttons. We got about 20 minutes down the road before i realized she'd cracked the window, just slightly, without feeling the difference in pressure or noise. That's what happened the time the ROA went off for us too...she cracked it and walked away. Unfortunately, the window lock and child door lock buttons are paired together instead of separated, so that's a minor inconvenience to try to lock the windows then have them wrenching on the door handle cuz it won't let them out!

I'll double check this, thank you!
