I am in the logistics world, and drivers seem to be even more problematic right now. New theory is lots of spring break vacations since drivers have been making lots of $$. Normally there is enough capacity it doesn't impact much, but not this year. Its possible the fuel surge is hurting, but usually collecting cash from selling the vehicle is worth more than a little fuel.

Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Is there a good couple of threads that explain how to use kfos, and the Kia sticker website. I figured out failcat this am. I am still likely 30-60 days away from getting picked up, but how do I figure out if our vehicle has been scheduled, or has a Vin assigned?
Has anyone done a primer post somewhere?

You will find out your order was picked up in KFOS by your dealer. Until then, you can keep an eye on the forums to see when others at the same dealer have had their orders picked up. That will give you an idea of when yours might be picked up. Once it's picked up, you can keep an eye on failcat until you see one that matches your order and is headed to your dealer. At that point you should be able to contact the dealer and confirm that it's your VIN. Once it hits failcat, you can go to the KIA build site (Local Search Inventory - Results Page | Kia) and look for you VIN to appear as "Arriving Soon". Once you see that it's arriving soon, you can go to the Track My VIN thread and ask Stephen Cantrelle for an ETA.
Well, never got an update. I did have a missed call from a 610 number last night, but well after Murray’s closed. No voicemail. I’ll call in Monday at some point. I’m going to hope that since lhtelly ordered a week before us, we’re pretty darn close.

What color, trim , interior color, packages and options did you get? I'll take a look for you.
Ebony black exterior, gray interior, AWD SX, floor mats I believe is the only option.

If I had to guess, your order has probably not been picked up yet. If you look back a bit in this thread you will notice that I ordered a similar vehicle about a week before you. As of March 15th, I was #3 in line. I'm hoping our orders get picked up this month.

No, too early for that I believe. I think VIN becomes available when the vehicle gets painted.
OK so "picked up" really means the factory production system picked up the order from the queue... Something like that?

I do have a trade in, but I plan on trading to carmax or we buy any car. The offers are much better from those companies then from dealers. I might see what they offer but I don't anticipate them offering enough.
That's basically my thought/plan. Trading in would save me around $1k in sales tax though and I figure that would be the simpler route. I think I still plan on trying to sell to Carmax or Carvana (since my assumption is that their offers are > 1k over a trade-in offer) but I'm very curious about what the trade-in offer would be.
