If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Our 2021 Telluride with 15K miles has a leaking passenger side front inner CV boot. Unfortunately, the dealer is back ordered on the boot with no ETA. Looking at it, it does not appear to be torn. The grease seems to be coming out right at the end of the boot after the clamp. Has anyone had any experience with loose clamps or leaking boots?

Has anyone replaced a boot yet? If I can find the part I may just do it myself.

Thanks for the info.

Maybe the clamp is loose.

You have any pix you can share? Curious to see it because when I got my KT, I saw the CV boots have a kink on them.
I didnt make a big deal out of it since they weren't leaking.

I'll try and get a pic. The boot looks okay, but there's grease being thrown out in a straight line right from the end.

My 21 Telluride has 17k and just experienced the same thing. They're telling me it was a pothole 🙄

My '21 Telluride just experienced the same thing, 17k mileage. They say it was a pothole. See pics

Drive shaft should be covered under power train warranty. However dealership is claiming "external influence" caused this and is telling me it's not covered. They say it was a pothole (based on nothing of course). I'll be pushing it up the ladder with Kia. Even a pothole should not be causing the boot to tear/leak.

So my boot wasn't actually torn. It was leaking from the inboard clamp. I had to wait almost two months for them to get a boot. Once the boot came in the repair was covered under warranty.

Just confirming - they only replaced the boot, not the entire drive shaft, right?

I have a 2020 telluride that has been leaking for a while , now at 60 K the inner cv's are failing and are vibrating on acceleration
replaced the drivers side with a Hyundai Palisade shaft part # is 1 digit of ,but they are identical only half price
I blamed it on my 2" lift kit , now it seems there are more failures
the boot clamp being used is a real pile of crap.
I might go visit the dealer now

I have a 2020 Kia Telluride with a leaking boot. Only 40K miles. Christian Brothers found it while doing an inspection. Any advice on bringing it into the dealership Friday? How do I escalate this if they don't want to cover it?

You should go visit a dealer from another manufacturer. We had to take our Telluride back so many times for the vibrations, windshield, random glitches in the software. I finally had enough!

I'm having this same problem from my lift kit!

does anyone know which is the exact part # for CV boot replacement?

Did you replace the cv axle yourself? If so, do you have any pointers? I have the exact same thing happening since about 40k and now at 78k there is a significant vibration on acceleratation.

I am looking into purchasing the Hyundai Palisade version of the passenger side axle shaft. Can you double or triple confirm that this is an identical part? Kia part number is 49501-S9450 and Palisade part number is 49501-S8450. I want to be certain.
Thanks!

Our local service garage mechanic just called me and told me the exact same! Our right axle boot is blown out and throwing grease everywhere. I'm at 39,000 miles. Had a big trip planned to tour colleges for my twins and now no car. Dropping off to the dealership tonite. They won't order the part needed until they see it and no loaner car. Sucks!

How did that turn out for you? I had the same side transfer case side boot throwing grease and when we looked into it the clamp was loose so repacked and put on a Napa replacement clamp which appears will stop the mess. The boot kit at Kia was $120 so replacing the clamp was simple and cheap fix.
We are at 65,000 miles and suspect it started around 50k. Have a 2” truxx lift since new which it doesn’t seem to be a significant player in the problem.

I am also having issues with my CV boots, but because of my lift kit, the dealer won't cover it under warranty.
