• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Kia Telluride Discussion

For anyone looking at the 2023 and concerned that it won’t have amber DRLs, just drive around with your parking lights on. Easy.

Regarding a lot of other comments, remember that right now, we only know the absolute basics about the 2023 model. We know there is going to be a new X-Line and a new X-Pro, similar to the new Sportage and Sorento.

We know some of the feature additions and some of the physical changes. But that’s really it. We won’t know the intricacies of the trim lines until more info and pricing is released. Hold tight everyone. More info will be announced in the coming months (or may leak out). More info still will become known once these start hitting dealers and hitting the road (you never see media drives of the base spec models, for instance). It’s coming.

*I should disclaim I don’t know 100% that this is what it will look like with the parking lights on, just assuming (this is what it looks like with the hazards flashing).

I think the X-Line is more of just a look of being able to go off the beaten path but not really...since it is replacing the Nightfall. It gives it a more rugged/sporty look without actually having to upgrade to the X-Pro that can truly go off the beaten path. That is just my guess...lol
I think the point was that the nightfall (blacking out trim/decals) doesn't synonymize well with a cosmetic trim that says "off road/rugged" ... Very different vibes there. I agree with the previous poster on that

sigh. I really don't care for the off color front bumper. Do we know if that's just for xpro/xline/etc?

That model in the picture is the X-Pro.

All we have seen so far is the X-Pro and the slightly less extreme X-Line. None of the “regular” models.

Please educate me . . . Why is there so much heartburn over losing the NF appearance package? You can have this done or do it yourself for much less. It’s just a spray or wrap on the roof rails and the grille with black rims. What else am I missing? It looks like the XLine and XPro give you actual enhancements other than just appearance changes. $1,300 before markup seems like a steep price for just a few cosmetic mods that can easily be done aftermarket. Same as ambient lighting. $450 for something you can do yourself for less than $30. I’m just not understanding.
I'm speaking from the Canadian market the upgrade to NF (Nightsky in the Canadian market) is $1000 extra compared to getting it done yourself at a shop which would charge over $1000. That would include the grill, trim, logos, rear bumper diffuser, front bumper diffuser/skid plate. Not to mention the cost of the 20 inch wheels alone.

I ordered my Telluride NF WGP in January and was given a possible delivery date of September - October so my salesman told me I have a high possibility of getting a 2023 model. So I'll be expecting a call in a few months to go over the new changes and the new price 😑. The wife isn't too thrilled on the changes, I welcome them and I'd be happy with a 2022 or a 2023 to be honest.

Ordered on March 4, 2022 and was told last week it should be right around 6 months. Don't care for the '23 changes and really would like a '22. Dealership said they don't know when Kia will switch production. They would call orders and update after Kia notifies them.

I understand that a facelift typically redesigns to the lights, bumpers etc. but I think Kia dropped the ball here with getting rid of the signature amber square daytime running lights. Wouldn't surprise me if some aftermarket company made some that fit the '23. Doubt that you could just swap them. IF that's possible, I'd probably be fine with a '23.

I'm content with all changes except for the front bumper. I like the old headlights, but I also really like the new ones. I think they look distinguished. The upgraded tech in the inside (dash, touchscreen, rearview mirror, and faster charging pad/USB outlets) is a great addition.

I have a 22 SX-P and think of it this way. I only see the lights when my wife is driving it away or towards me. It's the last thing I think about when I'm in the car. There are so many other great things about the car and some of those just got better with the '23. I guess with the 22, I'd know who is trying to run me over for insurance money hahaha.

I know I've said this before, but major kudos to Kia for not installing that silly two-in-one climate and audio control panel as seen in the EV6, Sportage, etc. That thing would get old quickly, and adding another step to temp/audio controls is never a good idea.

Hahaha, true and for sure more recognizable than a vanity plate. You got a point there and I think, like with all new designs, we will all get used to the new front fascia and like it

Would be a deal breaker for me. I held off on buying a Honda Ridgeline until they brought back the physical volume knob.

Am I wrong, but it appears the front break vents are no longer functional, just for show. One of the youtube reviewers identified them as non-functional during their review.

I think you hit the nail on the head with a lot of your thoughts IMO. I like the new digital cluster just because I love the tech stuff, but I have had a 2020 sonata which had the same digital display and after the first month or two you realize how its not really customizable at ALL and not nearly as helpful as you think it would be unfortunately. Im still blown away by lack of wireless apple car play/android auto. I dont get that at all and just like you I want to know what else the HUD is going to show, or how much more integrated is it. if you could tell me I could get my apple care play nav to work both in the digital display and show up on the HUD then I would be all in on this new model. but i highly doubt that it is
I prefer the analog dash. I would love to have apple car play in the HUD like waze directions. Yes why is wireless carplay available in k5 but not telluride?

I do like increased off road capabilities, but from what I have seen so far I prefer the look of my SX-P inside and out.

One cool feature that was mentioned in the digital key (using your watch/phone to open and start the vehicle)

As someone who is sitting on a 22 order that is right in the sweet spot of where the switchover will occur, I am not unhappy with the 23. I would be OK with a 22 (love the square amber DRLs) but wouldn't be disappointed with the wireless key, new digital gauge cluster/infotainment, raised roof rack, and added tow capacity. I was really nervous about the new headlights from the spyshots, but I don't hate them. Most disappointed by lack of wireless CarPlay.

Regarding the amber drl's, did KIA release anything stating that they were discontinued now with the refresh?

I believe all that we've seen this week is the addition of two new trims. We haven't seen any of the other refreshed trims, namely the SX and EX with available amber drl's. They might still be on these trims. Speculation at this point unless I missed it if someone could post that. Thanks

Highly doubt they'd give different trims different headlights but who knows. I'd be curious to see if the current ones could be retro-fitted to the '23.

I've seen references to some legal issue but id really to hear the real explanation from someone in the know. In a 2023 top line vehicle this seems like it really should be doable

Next up...what feasibly can we take from the 2023's add to the 22's...LOL....the mirror thing is cool but I prefer the 22 grille over the 23.
I just got my 22 like 3 weeks ago...I should go sit in the corner..spoiled brat.
