I ordered 2/11/2022. SX, Glacier White, Prestige, Nightfall, AWD, no tow package, with Dune Brown Interior. I was initially told 9 to 10 months. When 2023 was introduced at auto show, I contacted my salesman and he said if my 2022 can't be filled, I will be contacted by FB Kia and inform of new status. I also was told a jump in timeframes is now 10 to 12 months. Salesman has responded in a day or two to my emails. I'm patiently waiting. If it happens, it happens and I'm not getting my hopes up one way or the other.Anybody out there ordered from Fort Bend? How long have you been waiting? How has the overall experience been? If you purchased there, how long was your wait?
I was initially told 7-10 months and then 2 weeks later he told me “shouldn’t be longer than 6 months”, so we’ll see. I really want a 22 because we ordered the wolf gray with nightfall, and I’m scared they won’t have that for 23. Plus the amber running lights!I ordered 2/11/2022. When I put mine in August I was told 6-8 months. So I'm was happy to get mine in 5 with some luck. Hang in there. Sometimes it is out of their control.Ordered Sept 13, 2021. Originally told that wait time was 7-9 months. Still waiting on the order to be filled. I was told last month they were on September orders and just talked to them last week and he said “it should be filled within a month”. Starting to get frustrated but still don’t want to pay the extra $12K. Bryce has always been responsive but now wondering how people are being told 5-6 months when Kia hasn’t even accepted my order on month 7.
I feel like have been skipped over but that is just the anticipation playing tricks on my brain I hope.
I know it’s not their fault that’s why I’m not flipping out lol … people are think I’m insane or a saint for waiting this long for a carWhen I put mine in August I was told 6-8 months. So I'm was happy to get mine in 5 with some luck. Hang in there. Sometimes it is out of their control.
Good things come to those who wait. I've enjoyed mine so far. I'm sure you'll enjoy yours to. Even if it ends up being a 2023 heheI know it’s not their fault that’s why I’m not flipping out lol … people are think I’m insane or a saint for waiting this long for a car![]()
I was wondering that exact same thing, so I went to failcat and saw that fort bend has had an uptake in their telluride allotment since November. I counted 20 something in November and December, 40 in feb, close to 60 in March, and looking to be close to 60 in April. I guess because they can order more, the wait time is shorter? Idk. My son bought a Sorento from them a couple of months ago, and we were told that the survey email a buyer gets after the sale from Kia helps to determine dealer allotment. He said the better your surveys, the bigger your allotment. When we ordered the Sorento we were told 5 months, and it came in 2. We flew over there and drove it back. Very smooth transaction.Ordered Sept 13, 2021. Originally told that wait time was 7-9 months. Still waiting on the order to be filled. Correct me if I am wrong. But the car shows up on failcat after it has been produced in the factory. Odd they told you 3-5. I ordered in August and it was already 6-8. My bro in law ordered in November and was told 9 months. Our wait seemed long but I think I timed it perfectly with the baby being born and maternity leave. Value for our RAV4 even went up while we waited. In other words, if you keep yourself occupied the wait will go by fast.I ordered from Fort Bend Oct 25th 2021 (SX) and am still patiently waiting. Was told 3-5 months, then 4-6, then 7-8. It feels crazy to wait this long, but I don’t want to settle for a different vehicle that isn’t as highly rated.
I think it shows up on failcat when it’s picked up Kia and assembly starts.Correct me if I am wrong. But the car shows up on failcat after it has been produced in the factory. That is my understanding
THey have only 15 in failcat for April so unless 20 more get on there this week then it looks they went back down.I was wondering that exact same thing, so I went to failcat and saw that fort bend has had an uptake in their telluride allotment since November. I saw that. Frustrating…THey have only 15 in failcat for April so unless 20 more get on there this week then it looks they went back down.
