  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Just received my new Telluride a week and a half ago, fresh off the truck. Waited two weeks for it, but well worth the wait. I usually swear against ever purchasing the first model year of any new vehicle, but after researching the heck out of this one had to pull the trigger.

It sure gonna stopdashows in da neighborhood! What color?

Black with black interior. Looks real nice with the dark tinted windows, silver trim and silver 20" rims.

My gosh, only 2 weeks? Lots of would-be owners have been waiting 2-3 months or more! We are 7 weeks out and no VIN in sight. Where are you located?

Wow, didn't realize how lucky we were! The date kept getting pushed back and because of our dissatisfaction, the dealer threw in the free tint too. We are in Socal.

2 weeks!! Wow... have been in my 3rd month... no call, no VIN... I only hope you got what you wanted and nothing thrown at you. There are a lot of us who have yet to be told the first bolt was turned. Happy Travels...:D

Wow, I knew they were popular but had now idea how much. We did get what we wanted luckily, and fought to get rid of the dealer mark up that they wanted. $5,000. Took a lot of back and forth though. Kia dealers know they have a hot commodity and are trying to take advantage of it.

Congrats and welcome.

So, how much of that mark-up did you pay?

Thank you. None. I told them I wasn't going to pay any of it and would wait a year until they cool off, or would buy a different brand with no mark up.

Yes, stick it to them and be ready to walk. I must now ask who are these idiots who are paying the $10k+ markup?

Thank you.

Please post your purchase price and experience in the thread for what did you pay?

Many potential owners are seeing the market adjustments and turning away. I believe in making them invest the time to sell it and that achieving invoice or less is possible in an overwhelming majority of instances. Your experience may provide hope to others.
