• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I just noticed that as of today 4/28/2022 a Nav and Audio update is available. I'm waiting for the early adopters before I try it.

You got the link for the update? I might give it a shot later today.

Not interested in the nav update but the audio update perhaps. didn't see much in the notes other than nav features being updated.

Actually looks like my 2022 Telluride isn't even eligible for the audio system update so there won't be any changes. Only eligible for the Nav update which won't change any of the system's functionality.

  1. Allows you to select routing based on time, tolls, highways every search now I guess instead of just setting in your route options settings.
  2. Black map theme. This was already released in the NOV2021 update, so not new?
  3. New voice recognition widget in split screen. As opposed to taking up the whole screen for speech to text results it seems.
  4. Can filter out brand name point of interest locations you want to omit from the map or search results.
Aside from these updates, probably some new map data.

My update seems to be stuck on System Update. I have successfully updated twice before and don't remember it taking this long in this step. Guess there is nothing I can do but wait it out.

As soon as I posted, the status bar has started to move - so its making progress - just this update is slower than the others it seems. Thanks.

Does it do two downloads or package the audio and nav all into one? Hoping to get my 22 10” unit radio UI updated. Only saw one massive download for the nav stuff.
There’s nothing to package. The two different updates you’re referring to are for two different head units. You choose the appropriate one.

There’s the navigation update (that’s the one everyone here is going to want).

Then there’s the Display Audio update (that’s the name of the non-navigation head unit). That would only apply to the 2020 and 2021 LX and S, and it really is just a bug fix update, as you can see in the notes.

Does anyone know how much space the downloaded files take on the usb drive? Mine shows ~ 10g.

Maybe coincidental, maybe not. Since the update, I notice I have no weather info despite always having a Kia UVO (Connect) Plus plan (the next to highest plan that allows remote starting). I have always had this plan along with weather update. After seeing no weather but given a 800 number to call, I talk to a rep who now tells me that the weather is only part of the Ultimate plan. Not a big deal, I don't really use it. Just don't like having useless widgets on my screens.

Ultimate gets all the cloud updates - optimized routes, weather updates, OTA map updates. Interesting that it lists ‘infotainment updates’ as well.

I see this now but again I was on the plus plan and had weather from some source up until now.

Installing update and it's been going along for over an hour. Screen shows Maps 1/5 and circle is spinning. It was at this same point 30 minutes ago. What now?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

UPDATE: Took an hour and 50 minutes, but it's finally done.
