Current Wait Time for Bald Hill Kia (RI)

Figured I'd start on a thread on folks' wait time for orders placed with Bald Hill Kia, in Warwick, RI [RI005].

Has anyone who ordered in Nov. or Dec. been picked up in KFOS?

Nada -- just that "we will contact you when have further information." Did they give you an estimate when you ordered? They said 3-4 months to me, which seems unrealistic now.

Same estimate given. Talked to them this weekend and updated to an estimated June arrival. Said they had 40 orders pending but “couldn’t” tell me where I was in that stack , either playing people or just don’t understand the process.

I placed an order in late October. Originally told 8 to 12 weeks (but with the end of year factory shut-down for the holidays, I figured it would be more like 10-14 weeks). Contacted them a few weeks ago and they told me that due to supply issues, it may still be a couple more months. I asked what place I was in line and they told me I was 5th or 6th in line now. Looked at failcat and there have been two more builds for them in the last week (so now I'm 3rd or 4th, I guess).

I ask, because there were only two VINs in Feb and nothing in March on failcat.

Has anyone who ordered in Nov. or Dec. gotten any update from Ball Hill? The last I checked, I was told they are seeing 7-8 months (which is different from the 2-3 months they estimated when I ordered around the holidays).

I ordered late October. Just reached out to them last week and was told it has been picked up by Kia in their system and that my ETA is now July 5th. That will end up being about 8 1/2 months for me if that date holds.

I ordered mid December, and was just told they don't have any update as to when it will be picked up. Fingers crossed.

I order end of January and no update. Was told last week it hasn’t been picked up yet and that the timelines have been pushed out. Not looking promising.

Called last week and was told that it will most likely be a 2023 model at this point and that they will "work with us" on the price increase between the 2022 and 2023 models. With gas being the way it is, I might start shopping around for something more fuel efficient.

I reached out to the dealer after I saw something that looked like my specific order on failcat. He got back to me yesterday to tell me that the VIN I had seen was indeed mine and that it is due to arrive next week! Finally! 8 months from the original order date. Hopefully that holds. (interestingly, my order/VIN has not been placed on their website as an "new in-transit" vehicle at all)

Congrats! Had they previously advised whether your order had been picked up by KFOS?

No...the only thing I heard prior to this was when I had reached out and he told me my ETA was July 5th (so, not a proactive status update to me).

Ditto -- each time I reach out I'm told they have no information and will contact me when they do. It makes me anxious. Has anyone who placed an order in November or December been picked up yet? Or been asked to update to a 2023?
