Why wont the hatch lock on the 2020 model Telluride, when all the doors are locked the hatch isn't?

Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. Lock the doors. Leave the key fob 15+ feet away from the car. Then try to open the rear lift-gate again.
It’s normal for the lift-gate to open if you have the fob on you. If your doors are unlocked, anybody can open the lift-gate even without the fob.
