Order to delivery time

This is a classic example of a HORRIBLE dealership! There is no way an order was/is in transit for arrival on August 29th!

If I were you I'd go into the dealership and demand the GM bring your order in front of you on their computer. It will be under your name and the order date will match your date ordered. In the same row he/she can show you the status. If your order came in and was sold, it will show it came in and when.

This can give you grounds to file a complaint with Kia and your state dept of consumer affairs. Without this concrete information you have nothing but conjecture/speculation.

I know I think I’m going to do that and honestly I’m just so disgusted. I’ve never waited for a car like this that I really wanted. At this point I feel like just getting something else. I’m leaving for vacation Thursday so I’m going to cool off and when I come back deal with this crap show.

Finally got an update that our order was accepted at the factory. Dealer expects to have it before the end of August. We ordered the moss with dune interior, awd and tow package in April 19th.

Ordered the same exact one on May 2. Hope to have it by end of Summer.

You have brought up some excellent points. @Wap52 said his went IN TRANSIT and then arrived in one day (McKinney Texas) not sure if this is typical. I would be curious if the VINS you have been supplied in the past show up as sold. Not sure how to do that in your state - I think it can be done via public data in Texas.

@stevenorris41 I did not think of it before but can you put that first VIN in Carfax and see if it has an owner and when they bought it.

So I just found some very interesting and troubling info.... when we entered that vin number in a site called vin #, it shows that car having a previous owner and 2 issues. One where the passenger door did not open. And the bench seat was malfunctioning. It also shows our Telly with chrome rims, not black. We have the SX package and captains chairs. It lastly said it has 1000 miles on it.

When I threw that number into CARFAX, it says no previous owner.

Great! Well I don't think I would use that first VIN tool and if Carfax says no current owner then maybe it is correct - not sure how often ownership gets updated into an interface that Carfax can retrieve it from. The KIA window sticker tool will be accurate.
