• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi. I would like to be able to use the Apple Car Talk function while also listening to terrestrial or sattelite radio. If I have the radio on and I want to use Waze, I hit the MEDIA button, select Apple Car Talk and Waze and all other Apple Car Talk functions appear but the Radio is not on. It appears you have an either ot choice. Is there a way to have the MEDIA/Apple Car Talk up while at the same time, listen to sattelite or terrestrial radio? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

When using Carplay in your Telluride it is possible to listen to radio/siriusxm while using Waze.

First, do not use the Media button to get to the Carplay screen. Either program your favorite button (the star button) to phone projection, or use the Apple Carplay icon in the Uvo menus to access the app. This will not interrupt whatever music source you are listening to when switching to Carplay.

To program the favorite button, just press and hold to configure.

Lets say the car automatically switches to iPhone source for audio, use the Mode button on the left steering wheel controls to get back to the radio/siriusxm. If it does not allow you to, you may also need to configure the Mode button by pressing and holding.

Note that if you are using your phone while driving to watch videos, browse social media or your internet browser, it may auto switch to the iPhone audio. That is normal behavior, and you will need to press the Mode button to get out of iPhone audio again.

Thanks very much for the insightful reply. I will likely consult the manual as I have not done the programming before and want to understand phone projection, etc. Expect it is straightforward.

Mine is doing just that. Strange behavior. I’ll check my phone as that’s likely the cause.
