Towing without the tow package

Trying to decide between the S without the package and the EX with the tow package. As I understand it, the tow package only consists of self leveling shocks in the rear.
We will be towing a double axle trailer with a CanAm side by side. I think the weight will be less than 4000lbs.
We prefer the S model with the larger wheels and captain chair rear seats.
Has anyone towed without the tow package?

You will be fine as long as you get a weight distribution system. I recommend some airlift 1000 bags. For very little invested you can firm up the suspension on the S more for towing. The towing package in the EX has softer springs which might be nice for light towing or trailers that are already level by design like a smaller boat but at the weight you are considering with a travel trailer you would want more firm suspension and a level hitch. My 2c.

So how did it do I have 22 sx but no tow package thinking of just have a hitch installed to tow my Rzr
