• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... HI ,

After parking my TELLURIDE LX 2020 for about 2 days or more, I have to start it 10 times or more to get it to start. Once it starts, it starts on the first press itself. Can any one face this problem .Anyone can help to find the exact problem to solve it easily..

Thanks
Navas

Sounds like a fuel issue. The dealer is going to have to replicate it and if you drive it there, it sounds like it won’t for about 10 days. Suggest you take a video the next time you let the vehicle sit for an extended period. Regardless of what the problem is, unless it’s pennies and you do it yourself, it will be covered under warranty.

Understand. I used to live in Dubai and understand the ignorance of USA specs vs GCC specs. Most of the time there isn't anything different other than the words on the side view mirror in arabic vs english. Sometimes the cooling system is upgraded but it isn't much hotter in the UAE than it is in Arizona so it may be overkill.

Regardless, I don't see why Kia wouldn't honor their warranty, no matter where the vehicle is operated, especially when there are Kia dealers there. I know there's another layer of trading companies but you may be able to make some headway by emailing Kia corporate.

It sounds like your starter is working fine based on the video. Good luck.

Thank you so much brother .. for you precious time

I would check/replace the battery.

This isn’t good advice at all and will waste his time. It’s clearly not a battery issue based upon the video as it cranks over every time he hits the starter button.

How about getting the battery tested first.

How did you check it? Auto parts stores in the USA run it through a test.
Yes brother i did from a store who selling batteries .they test the battery with some tester and they found the battery is working good . they advise me no use to change the battery

Again, why ask questions or give advice when you’re clearly spitballing? I realize this is a forum but when you have no clue, and it’s clear you don’t by your suggestion if you watched the video, it’s a waste of time and confusing for people needing help. It’s most likely a fuel or solenoid issue not delivering fuel to the injectors as it cranks just fine. However, this is just a guess and will have to be diagnosed by a mechanic to definitively know.

I just wanted to know how the battery was tested. I have tested a battery with a multimeter before and it had enough volts. But the car wouldn’t start. One of the cells in the battery were bad and it didn’t have enough cranking amps.

so You say it is fuel related, then stat that is just a guess. I think you are spitballing too.

Bad batteries on the 2020’s were a problem well documented here on the forum and often cause problems like this, especially in the OP’s climate. We all come here for suggestions and discussion. I believe checking the electrical system AND any fuel issues are customary on a “no start” condition. Hope it gets resolved.

Again, if you watched the video with sound, you could hear the starter turning over. If it was the battery, the cranking of the starter would progressively get slower and then not crank at all. An engine operates by simple principles. Engines need air (oxygen) to burn fuel. The fuel is ignited by the spark plug, or in a diesel, compression. His vehicle is trying to start but doesn’t fire. Most likely fuel is not getting sprayed into the cylinders by the injectors. It could also be an electrical issue resulting in the spark plug not arcing. But one thing it clearly isn’t, is a battery issue.

Very good, thanks for explaining to me what I already knew. In the video the cranking seemed very weak. We know its not a battery issue he had it tested. I still can’t believe with all your knowledge you can’t pin point the problem by one video posted on line. I bet you can’t even change you own oil.
