• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Remote start with fob

The safety deactivation is weird and I would like the parking lights to turn on and stay on once autostarted

You think with today's technology they would just have it setup so when you press the remote start button it would auto lock the doors like the Durango does. Hitting 2 buttons is kind of dumb. However I am just glad they listened to people and now offer the FOB as the 2020 did not have one.
The double activation requirement is very much on purpose so you don't accidentally start the car when something in your pocket touches the button.

I was in a parking lot about 100' from the car and I pressed the lock button twice and got 2 flashes confirming the lock signal, then pressed the remote start button with no response until I was about 50' from the car. Is there a different antenna for the remote start feature?

Just installed the assessorides remote start without the takeover option took about 20 minutes to install did not have to remove the glove box!

I would assume the receiver is under the glovebox. A bit more concealed.

You push lock on the remote, followed immediately by holding down the remote start button for several seconds.

Look on page 4-10 of your owner's manual.

Thank you for sharing this, on my other vehicles It was just a double tap and hold the second push to remote start. Couldn't figure out the key fob to do this.

Bought new 2021 Telluride SX and having trouble getting remote start to work. Went back to dealership and they couldn’t help. I finally got the remote start to work using the app on my phone but I can’t get it to work on my fob. I found where it said to hold down the lock button for three seconds which I did but the button on the fob still won’t start the car. I appreciate any help!
Check the secondary auxiliary battery. If it’s dead or low the remote start may not work.
