• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Kia Telluride Discussion

Hi Everyone, thanks for all of the great info and research...I have a ton to read thru! The 2023's have hit Texas...we were able to purchase ours last night. I think this is going to be a great vehicle and I like the changes for the 2023 model year.

Congrats, looks really good! You're probably one of the first owners. Just out of curiosity...how much of a mark-up did you pay?

EX and SX have regular leather seats (seats are trimmed in leather rather than leatherette like they are on the LX and S).

SX-P is nappa leather, which is a finer grade of leather.
What does a SX-P X-Line get, Nappa leather?

It’s an SX-P, so nappa leather. Any SX-P has nappa leather.
Ok thank you! I was confused as on the document floating around, SX-P says nappa, where the X-Line says just leather. So I didn't know which would trump when bought together.

It all depends on the base trim.

Any EX or SX is regular leather, even when you add X-Line or X-Pro. Any SX-P is nappa leather, even when you add X-Line or X-Pro.

Southwest Kia in Dallas...great Sales help from Gage and the dealership was fair on our trade-in. Dealer had added floor mats, wheel locks, and tint, which I would have added anyway and the prices charged were absolutely fair. There was about $700 in 2 other items that I didn't want to pay for (lojak thing and an interior/exterior surfaces warranty), but I wasn't able to knock those off the table. I really liked the vehicle and didn't want to get a 2022 if a 2023 could be in the cards. There weren't any other markups or market adjustments. Over the last year, I've come to grips with "might have to pay MSRP" in this post-COVID world, so I did. I have a Genesis sedan, so I'm already a fan of Kia/Hyundai/Genesis and the GV80 just isn't big enough. We really liked the new Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer....but this Telluride gets me close, has about every feature that my Genesis has and probably saved me $30-$40K from buying the Wagoneer. All of the driver safety logic in the adaptive cruise and lane assist is much more advanced than what is in our Genesis, so MSRP in the current economy and new/used automotive world seemed like something to not get too upset about. I hope there are folks that can buy vehicles below MSRP values, but I wanted the car now and sometimes there's a price on that too.

Will the Nappa leather still have the X-Line badging in it?

Hey guys so bit of an update for the Canadian models. My dealer contacted me yesterday and provided the pricing details for 2023 model. There will be 5 trims in total EX (price around 50k) SX (55k) SX-LTD ( 59k) X-Line (61k) and x-pro which is around 63k.

Features of the trims are pretty much what was expected the ETA is now January the earliest for 2023s (this is as per my dealer)
The Telluride SX LTD is comparable with Hyundai Calligraphy, currently priced at $56,650 , so the price difference would be at least $2,000 more expensive for the Telluride ( previous difference was about $700). Not sure the difference between both cars is worth 2 grand before taxes. The difference is even more dramatic when we compare Calligraphy vs SX LTD X line, now $4300 before taxes, that's nuts! I'll wait and see what the KIA offers, I know it already have power folding exterior mirrors, it'll likely have auto close features for the lift gate and heated windshield and heatable nozzle for the front wipers. We'll see.

At what point in the process is an order sheet generated? I don’t even have one of those yet.

Hmmm - not my version. But would be exciting indeed! I'm still showing 0 VINS added in the last 24 hours

Thank you for the update! Sounds fair. Did your '22 order get canceled or did you just walk in and bought it right off the show room floor?

Does anyone know if the EX X-Line trim automatically come with 2nd row captains chairs? Or do you have to also pay for the EX Captains Chair package in addition to the X-Line upgrade?

X trims only come with Captain chairs.
