Thanks
@StephenCantrelle for explaining how that works. One additional question - how often does Kia pickup orders - I was under the impression that it was about once a month? So if you put in custom orders last week and they have been filled (all but one), does that one person and other new ones have to wait until next month before Kia picks up more orders or does that happen more frequently? Thanks!
2 different systems.. Kdealer with weekly allocations and KFOS with monthly allocations.
Since this is a fresh roll out the weekly allocations filled first, if there was a perfect match(Example would be if color, Trim and drivetrain match)..
If not a perfect match then would move over to the KFOS queue..
In KFOS queue the dealer can customize order to fill pending orders on (FIFO)first in first out basis as long as dealer was allocated that Trim and Drivetrain.
For Example; KFOS earned 3 S models FWD, 0 EX FWD, 1 SX X-Line Prestige.
If dealer has 1 person waiting for an S FWD model in queue, 1 EX FWD in queue, 3 SX X-Line Prestige in queue then the result would be.
1 of the 3 (S models) FWD would be filled to custom order and the other 2 (S models) allocated can go to normal inventory.
The one EX FWD in queue can not be filled so they must wait till next allocation weather it be the weekly kdealer allocation or the KFOS allocation.
One of the 3 people with an SX X-Line Prestige would get filled in the KFOS allocation (FIFO) and the other 2 would move up a spot in the queue waiting to get filled either by the Kdealer weekly allocation or the KFOS once a month allocation.

Kdealer vs KFOS and I go in more depth on our internal systems.
We haven't spoken about the kdealer weekly allocation in a long time because once backlog occurs on the Kia back side then we primarily will just be using the KFOS allocation.
