• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Kia Telluride Discussion

Picked up our 2023 SX X-Line Jungle Green / Sage a couple days ago. Got it from dealer allocation and it arrived 10 days early. Upgraded from a 2021 SX GG/Black.

Biggest difference so far is the digital dash and larger infotainment screen. I think the digital key will also be cool. Most other things seem the same.

Congratulations! .. This is some of the first photos I've seen of the Jungle Green. I like it!

I just went to a dealership and looked at the 2023 SX X-Line in Glacial White Pearl. Pictures I've seen made the bottom gray bumper look hideous and even clashing. Have to say in person looked pretty awesome. Not sure why pictures don't provide an accurate representation. I was in the camp of planning to wrap the bumper in black but after seeing it in person, I think I'm good as is!
I think pictures have trouble showing the depth correctly and maker it looked like it sticks out way further than it actually does.

Congrats! I ordered the same trim. Do you notice any improvement of the seats/leather quality vs your 21?
Still trying to figure out the color of the exterior trim pieces. In your pics they look silver-ish/not dark at all. Maybe its the lighting.

Yeah we really like it. We previously had another dark gray car along with our Gravity Gray 21, so we wanted something different. Green is my wife's favorite color so she was very excited that this was an option.

Hard to tell on the seats because they are newer, the color is different, and the pattern/stitching is different. They seem improved but it could just be in my head.

The trim around the windows is definitely darker and more nightfall-like than what we had on our standard 21 SX before. The lower trim and bumper moldings are not as dark as the window trim.

We upgraded from a 2020 Honda Pilot Black Edition. It was totaled in a car accident on 7/1. We've been searching and waiting for the 23's to come so we've been dealing with a single car for 4 months. So far, love the Telluride. Of course, we didn't even have it 24 hours before we took it to our detailer to give it the works treatment.
  • XPEL Prime XR Ceramic Tint (5% on back windows, 20% on front, 55% on windshield)
  • Machine polishing all body panels + Feynlab ceramic Ultra 5year base coat, and Ceramic overcoat hydrophobic layer
  • Full frontal Paint Protection film (Clear Bra) includes lights and mirrors
  • De-badge all badges
  • Blackout KIA logo badges
  • Interior protectant coating
We will have it back on Friday.

Wow! Was it expensive to have all of that done?

Definitely not cheap, but living in Arizona the ceramic tint is very worthwhile. The ceramic coating protects the paint, the polish removes any defects from manufacture and shipping, and the clear protection film helps from the rocks and such that are very common on the AZ roads.
All in all, it's about $4000. We did a similar package on my wife's 2020 Honda Pilot Black Edition which was totaled in July. Insurance reimbursed for all of the stuff we did on that car when it was paid out. The only thing that really bothers me is that the dealer refused to not apply their tint and paint protection package when we bought the car, even though we got it straight off the truck.

Thanks for the information! I'm surprised the dealer didn't want to make the extra $$

No, that's the thing. They made us pay for it and refused to take it off the invoice even though we didn't want it and it wasn't applied when we bought the car.

And you took it to the same dealer for the new add ons?

no, we took it to our local auto detailer for them to do the additional work.

Congrats! Post up some pics of that interior.

Also, how'd you do on trade-in? Did you go thru the purchasing dealer or did you sell it to a 3rd party? Thanks

Great. You had me wondering. Sounds like it’s going to look like a one of a kind Telluride.
Most of what we are doing is just protection and enhancement. Color won’t change or anything.

We are debadging and replacing the Kia logos with black. Might paint the gray pieces on the front and rear in the future.

I’m happy dropping money to maintain the appearance and quality of the car. We did the same on our pilot. When it was totaled at 2 years old with 28k miles on it with 3 kids and 4 dogs the insurance appraiser indicated the car looked brand new (aside from the front end damage).

Yes, through my purchasing dealer. More details here but long story short, my 21 was kind of an unlucky problem vehicle, and when I was in yet again for repair I asked about trading it in after it was fixed. They were open to it and I was able to negotiate a trade-in price that was actually better than the 3rd party websites (plus I got another ~3500 in tax benefit by doing it as a tradein).

Will grab some interior pics tomorrow

Drove 3 hours from Idaho home after getting it then a few hours yesterday as well. Sounds as quiet as my 2021 SX. One review actually did a decibel test and it was identical to previous years road noise. It’s actually pretty amazing. They either improved the cabins soundproofing further or picked tires that just work really well for road noise.
They improved the cabin noise

Oh wow that's not right!

Question - When a VIN/vehicle show up on Failcat, should the dealer be able to look up/see that VIN/vehicle is destined for their dealership?
